wrong.
you do NOT win a Cup without a dominant presence up the middle.
never happened, never will.

Didn't Boston do it, Krejci and Bergeron don't strike me as dominant, but that is just one example I can think of.

Say what?

I sorta said that wrong aha

Ryan is an upgrade... but i would rather spend those assets to get a center, instead of a winger.... we have capable wingers already...

Focus on filling holes, and then upgrade

I was gonna mention Boston...but I didn't want to get attacked, so I waited for someone to say it LOL. Took the words right out of my mouth though.

It's not pessimism - it's called reality. Blue and white disease got you good, bro. Best get that looked at.
- triggermartin

a lot of criticizm for Jay Feaster gm of #flames but he's making moves what about the #leafs? not hearing too much from #leafsnation.

I'd rather do nothing than give those contracts out

Two solid centres can get you there and win it but both Boston and LA won it on great goaltending as one of the primary reasons.

Jiri Hudler agrees to 4 year, $16 million contract with Calgary Flames. 4yrs x $4 mil.

I hope Feaster is their GM forever.

Solid centers and great goaltending....the Leafs have neither.
Although I do consider Grabo a solid 2nd center.

My only concern so far is that we need to get bigger and tougher. Burke has said this, so he knows it. However, so far we have gotten rid of: Schenn, Armstrong, and Crabb.

These are not big losses, but we are getting softer and not tougher...

Does anyone else see this?? Or is it just me?

every agent for every middle-of-the-road player must be clamouring to get on the phone with feaster before the flames owner gets back to town.

Agreed, this is a horrible signing. He is a checking forward, a 3rd liner. At least Stajan is making more!! LOL!

Feaster is insane!!

Leafs have Reimer. You may laugh...but nobody thought Mike Smith could do it.
I don't think they have a better team than we do. They have great players...but so do we.

That's the thing. People were confident in Smith. He is a good goalie...but I think Reimer could be even better. People just need confidence in the kid this coming season...and MTL bums should run into him.
