Don't get me wrong, I really like Bozak. I think he will be a player....you can see he has skills and great work ethic, just not the skillset a true #1C possesses. I actually think he can develop into a good #2 though he'll probably max out as a solid #3, whether for us or on another team.

If that 2nd line produces as it should, Carlyle develops a successful system on D and the goaltending holds up, this team is not as bad as these pessimists think it is. It's not far-fetched at all.

I haven't lost faith in James Reimer just yet. I think he deserves at least one more year to prove whether he can be a true starter in this league. He looked good at the end of '10-'11 and pretty good last year before the injury. he's training hard this summer and seems like he's hungry to prove his worth. I wouldn't be against signing or trading for a vet to help with his development and giving Scrivens another year in the AHL.

Burke is playing poker on Luongo, and he's hoping like hell a center of some quality is on offer somewhere, anywhere. The other GM's know he's on the hotseat, though, and can demand more than he wants to pay. I would not expect any "miracles" from BB anymore.

Forwards depend on 3 things:

How will JVR respond to life in t.o? I hope they keep him on the wing as I see him as a winger

Will Kulemin rediscover his touch and allow that second line to be a true second line, thus complimenting the pair we have on the first line?

Which one of Colborne, Kadri or Ashton will come into camp, rightfully earn a spot, and make a decent impact on this team? It's really a toss up.

As for the blueline, Komisarek will be a disaster yet again, and we will really miss Schenn once we see how well he plays on PHI, and that's regardless of how well JVR plays.

Goaltending, we'll wait and see. Hopefully Reimer having a full summer to clear his head helps. Also very optimistic about Scrivens
