dude, no he isn't. Parise is a complete player, Kessel plays 1 end of the ice.

I could admit that Kessel is a more gifted offensive player, and has a better shot, but then the stats even refute this too.

Oh ya, and Parise has actually scored over 40G in a season, and over 90 pts...

Just check the stats alone man.

Kessel is an elite player in the league. Why do we crap on every talent we have hoping for something more. To continually post on here to get rid of Kessel and Lupul after what they did for this team last year is totally disrespectful.

We talk of talent wanting to come here, and how the players should wave their no trade or no movement clauses for the good of the team and the fan base, but we treat them like crap. Toronto's media and fan base are the reason we have not won a cup for so long. We enjoy trades and office crap more than the product on the ice. I want to win, I don't know crap about hockey compared to someone who lived and breathed it their whole life. I'm a fan who enjoys the game, and wants to take his kid to games we win.

I still like to know what is going on, which is why I'm here but to blast and disrespect the players is wrong. They are people with families and social lives in the city.

Kessel played a good two way game for most of last season and excelled because of it. We should stop raining on the kids that try hard. There were many Leafs who didn't put forth the effort we expected, and they and the coaching staff know it, Let them deal with it now.

Here's how I 'hope' our lineup looks next season, realistically:

Lupul - ______ - Kessel
JVR - Grabo - Frattin
Kulemin - McClement - Connolly
Komarov - Steckel - Brown
Lombardi

Phaneuf - Gunnarsson
Gardiner - Franson
Liles - Komisarek
Holzer

Reimer
Scrivens

So this leaves:

Bozak
MacArthur
Kadri
Colborne
Blacker
Ashton
mid-level prospects
draft picks

.....to try to land us a #1 centreman.

I'm not ready to poop on Liles yet. He came back terrible after getting his bell rung. I'm assuming though kids like Blacker will get a serious look. He's a defense first type ain't he? Holzer offensive?

Defensive for Holzer apparently.

- weirdoh

Blacker is solid both ways, but great offensively. Holzer's a shut-down.

No confirmation on this yet, could be wrong, but I'm led to believe the Red Wings are out of the Parise race.

I still think he resigns in NJ.

JVR could be. Funny how whenever you talk about potential, people somehow think you are saying its a forsure fact. I feel sometimes that every post should be written phonically and come with a diagram and maybe a napkin ( you know, so you can wipe the drool off your chin).

How old are you?

I don't care if anyone agrees with me to tell you the truth. My opinion is my opinion. I have been dead wrong. I also have dead right.

Posting what you just did reeks of immaturity and I will choose to disengage from future conversations with you. Have a good day, be sure to be home before the street lights come on.

Kessel could with the MF'in Selke trophy and guys like Glucky would still come on here and say "Hes a one dimentsional player". Why? Because they do not actually watch the games. They invent opinions and hold fast to them in the face of facts.

With all due respect, Talking about FACTS and attacking someone are two completely differen't things. Track record has proven Dreger to be a much more reliable source than Eklund. Track record has also proven that Dreger has more credibility that I do - I do not take it personally

I'm not crapping on Kessel. I'm stating facts that are obvious to everyone who actually watches hockey.

Kessel is NOT better than Parise. This is a universal fact. That is not the same as saying Kessel sucks.

Parise is a very elite winger in this league. If he hadn't broken his leg last season, He'd have more goals scored than Kessel over the last 5 seasons.

Period.

Kessel's BEST asset is goal scoring, and Parise is better at it than him. Parise is also good defensively.

Kessel managed to not be as big a liability defensively last season, but he is not where near someone you can call "good" defensively.

I like Kessel. He's an elite sniper. Parise is a better player, and his play proves it.

Period. It is shocking to think there is even debate here.

Again, I am not saying Kessel sucks, by any means. But he is not better than Parise.

Agreed but don't think he is a two.. and doesn't it into our supposed system of truculence at 3 & 4 for other teams he is a great fit..

I applaud Bozak for all his efforts..

Saying Parise is a more complete player, who's scored more than Kessel isn't knocking Kessel at all... it's just stating facts.

well consider this: JVR has never played centre in the NHL and never score 50 points in a season, (frank) he doesn't even have 100 career points but he is a 100 point centre on the leafs ? (frank) dude open your eyes and don't tell me mine are closed.
