Yesterday QP said it was a good signing. My comment was a shot at him. Who, when news came out the Armstrong was getting bought out said was horrible then went on to say how Armstrong will help the team after he signed.
- mr.peanut

I don't think it is a bad or great signing.

He is a 4th line plug, who has a chip on his shoulder from being released by the Leafs and wants to prove he deserves a better contract.

At best, we have a solid 4th liner, at worst, we have the same type of trash in the bottom 6 we had last year.

Up to $28M in the first 12 months... 2X $12M signing bonus on July 1st this year and next.

Count this player in for not caring if there is a lockout... get paid anyways.

- JDJ

It's disgusting. I for one would forego $28 Million for the good of the league.

Not with Prust. FA is a definition of overpayment, but he will help this team a lot.

Numbers don't lie...he as elite skill. Even Ovechkin wasn't playing well in that system.

But would you be happy with a 10 yr 50-60M deal?

The only one with the giant boner is the agent, any star player will make more than enough money to live a great life on, including the next 5+ generations of his family.

I meant Armstrong would be no better or worse than the guys we had last year, but there is a potential upside.

Thankfully there would be a lockout clause that would still allow him to get that money. WTF is that about?

If Semin and his agent were smart, they would make a 1 year deal with the Red Wings.

I am sure they will more than make up for it the following contract.

It's better him than Engqvist, Geoffrion, Darche and Palushaj.
