There was no way we could have kept both of them and you know it.

Gauthier was wise to sell High on Halak and buy low on Price.

While I agree..... Eller will need to show more for this to be considered a good move.

Eller just turned 23 a month ago, played his 2nd season in the NHL and improved. Will see what is real potential is this up coming season.

I'm not pooping on Price, just saying Quick had a better season last year and deserved more money than him.

He's signed for 10 years though, and I think I prefer Price's deal, shorter therefore less risky.

- QuebecPride

Longer term means a player is guaranteed money over a longer time period. That is very important.

edit: not to mention the whole reason we see these long term deals that used to not exist, is to bring the cap hit down.

16 goals with no PP time is alright as a 22 year old.

He had one less goal and 3 less points than Brandon Sutter last year, a guy drafted 11th overall in 2007, which is 2 spots ahead of Eller that year.

And I'm speculating but I think Sutter had more time on the man advantage.

If he can actually play, Pleks is a goner. I believe Pleks will stay.

With the return of Cédrick Desjardins, the Bulldogs will be a fun team to watch next year.
- hon_hon_hon

Yup. They need a good vet presence though. Can't see that coming from solely Palushaj and Geoffrion, we need a guy to replace Henry who signed in Europe.

Plek made the NHL at what? 24? There is still hope for Eller....BIG year for him! I really hope him and Leblanc get to play together this year (along with Moen)

PK will most likely get the same money Garrison just got, (frank)ing Gillis and Feaster screwed us.

Therrien will continue molding him into a defensive role with the 3rd line.

Probably flanked by Moen and Prust to form a solid shutdown line.

Why not. Maybe when he sees he won't get more than what we offered him, he'll accept to come back.

If I were him though, I'd chose a better AHL city than Hamilton.

If he goes to the AHL...it will be about the money, give the guy 500K to play in Hamilton as a mentor
