I doubt Bergevin is done, but then again, I'm not expecting anything big either. I'd rather seen them rebuild properly than trying to throw money everywhere. They still need a winger for Plekanec...

If the Habs do anything big, it will be called a "mistake" because they overpaid or signed somebody like Kovi and his ridiculous contract.

Let me get this right. By adding 2 fourth-line players (overpaying for Prust for 4yrs, Injury Armstrong) and old man Bouillion (hey, look..he's French!)....the Habs are going to make the playoffs?

Still the same old same old in the top 9, which won't cut it. Jagr would be a slight upgrade and pot 40 pts if healthy but let's be realistic folks. Price is the only the reason Habs win 30+ games per season.

The Habs are better off not making the playoffs next year and getting another top 5 pick.

I am tired of the mediocrity poop, lets go get another awesome forward next year and then properly bring up these prospects to the NHL and see who really has it and who doesn't.

Then fill in the gaps.

For now it is just about putting decent enough players on the ice to fill out the lines and get a bit of grit so the Habs don't get shoved around all the time. If the Habs were a serious playoff team, then I would have an issue with these moves... but these short-term contracts have no real impacts on the club.

Have no issue with that.

There's only 2 guys worth throwing money at and they want crazy money. I wonder if The Un-Tied One is onto something when he doesn't hand out these long ass contracts? Be funny if the new CBA limits them to 5 years or so...not sure why they would do that but I'm sure some teams would rather.

I heard yesterday that the fisrt 2 years of a contract to Parise would be as high as 14 MIL per.

WTF is that??

I'd rather see the same grizzled vets fail one more year and get a good pick.

edit : Amrstrong fits well on Gomez's wing

With the bonuses. That's insane. Right there he's holding the teams over the coals. 28 mil in a calender year.

whtever happened tp goin hard after P.A. Parenteau....at least unlike Jagr he isnt 40....look we all loive and respect Jagr but he can only play 45 games, might as well go after Semin or Radulov for 1 year, since u believe in Colby Armstrong too....

'tough to play against' lol thats jus sad

Parenteau is off the market. So is Radulov. My fingers are crossed that semin signs with the leafs.

The headlines in TO would be great. Burke:"He was the player we wanted"
