i would think DET has a close offer, and Suter says he wants to play in the west -- but money talks and if his best friend Parise signs with PHI then he'll take money and sign with PHI.....but I think they both end up in DET or PITT

So we add schenn suter and Ryan I'd say that a pretty good off season

It could be a difference between 90 mil and 100 and maybe that doesn't mean as much as the location. You'd think this would be a no brainer tho..

the talk all along is that Parise would not go to a division rival outside of playing with sid and Suter wanted to stay in the west but I imagine the reason why the Flyers are still in the running is the crazy term and money offered. McKenzie had said the Flyers offered the most money.

If Bryz is out for the season, I'd say Leighton. Mason hasn't done much in the playoffs, whereas Leighton's been great under pressure, Cup Finals notwithstanding.

I don't think the Flyers would lock up both guys to big deals. They know that they'll have to lock up Giroux and others sooner rather than later.

I think Suter is a legitimate first pairing defenseman. The money seems extreme but its the cap hit that I actually care about.

If the contract is 100 million the cap hit is going to be north of 7 million. How can't it? I like Suter a ton, but he doesn't warrant a 100 million dollar contract.

Yea but we also have over 10 mill coming off the books next year and brieres contract the year after. So that's like 17 mill in the next two years plus you know the cap is gonna go up I think we would be ok. Plus he's an rfa we will not lose g he gonna get a mega deal like Crosby

All 3 aren't worth the Cap hits. The NHL Salary structure is becoming ridiculous. I think Brian Burke has it right.
