What is Calgary's deal?
Seriously? 4M a year for Jiri Hudler?

- Pixote Andolini

not too bad for a 20-goal, 50-point guy. think about what leino got last summer. think i'd rather parenteau at that same number, but still, that's not a bad deal. again, $4mil/season a few years ago was 8-10% of a team's cap space. now it's like 6.

Even if if weren't, you don't take the buyers' word for what the stuff is worth. It's fantasyland. Most of that stuff is Salvation Army fodder.

Zach Parise: I'm getting closer but haven't made a decision. I haven't set and deadlines.

Okay I understood Parise wanting to wait until today to decide but now he is waiting until tomorrow? Are you kidding me?

I hope teams pull out on the deals and he loses a ton of money with this BS.

Told you earlier it's going to be worse than the decision. This is too funny.

I clearly stated that it was speculation. How would you explain Homer sending offers to both Parise and Suter at $7M+++. If they both except we are screwed - it doesn't make sense. I am not saying the Timmo is retiring, but that it would make sense out of this situation.
- leon neon

I would explain it as Holmgren covering the basis. Just because you make an offer, doesn't mean you have to sign the player. What are the odds of both agreeing to come to Philly?

Its hard to become public enemy number 1 and screw over your former fanbase, all 40,000 of them. Have a stiff drink or 2 and we'll reconvene.

I would just as soon pull both offers off the table, and just play dirty pool. Sign Weber to a ridiculous front loaded offer sheet, then you don't have to wait or give up assets, and then Weber situation will be resolved instead of just hanging around for another year. It is dirty pool, our team will be denounced, but oh well. If you're going to spend 8+ million on a d-man, might as well get close to the best in the game right now.

Never will happen, but growing weery of Suter and Parise.
