Let the (frank)ing chips fall already. Just tell the Flyers that they arent one of the teams anymore and we can move on.
- stveshdy

Agents want to keep Flyers involved if they are the highest money on table to see if anyone else jumps up. I think it will be funny when both of these guys come out after they sign about how it will be about playing with this guy or great location for my family. Boys, don't kid yourselves, its always about the benjamins.

Why would they do that? They may be using the Flyers offers as leverage to go back to Pittsburgh and Minnesota/Detroit to get them to increase their offers.

It's up to the Flyers team Management to gauge the situation, if they believe they are out of it they should withdrawal the offers and come up with some plans on you know actually improving the team.

Theres no doubt in my mind that both players know where they are going.

The Pens are more likely to trade him out West. Then if he doesnt resign somewhere he will hit the market and command more than what were looking at today.

Well they also made that insignificant little move of locking Crosby up. No biggie.

They may indeed chose another team then the Flyers, but I guarantee they will be vastly over paid by someone. If it was only about quality of life for the family, these deals would already be done. Can you live that much better making $7 million/yr as opposed to $5 million/yr? Of course, its always about the money, which is my basic point. I hope they both end up with the Wild personally.

No worries my friend.... . My brain is just fried. I'm not mad at Homer for trying. But at some point when does he say enough is enough? What I must say is the Flyers must feel pretty confident for if all these TSN News Breakers were right with the teams they listed as heavy favorites, why wouldn't these players already have signed. Money talks, but still I don't think the Flyers have a chance.

Im only going by the reported 12 years 100 million offer that is said to be out there. I would rather have Carle at 6 million for 4 years than Suter for 8.3333 for 12 years.

Suter is NOT worth that....NO MATTER WHAT. He is not that good. Not even close. In fact, in my opinion it is less ridiculous to pay Carle 6 than it would be to pay Suter 8.3.

- MBFlyerfan

Agreed, Suter is a solid guy but maybe a half a step higher than Carle. He's a #2 D-man. He's played with Weber who is worth the big paycheck. I'd also rather pay Carle 6 than Suter 8.33

You didn't get access to the list of offers the Flyers made and didn't make (cause of Parsie and Suter, obviously) either?
- jd342

I sent them my fax number, but it hasn't come over yet. I'm seriously thinking of cutting up my Flyers fan membership card.
