I don't think so, I can't imagine they'd be frustrated on July 2nd. His agent said they expect a decision by tonight or tomorrow. Wants to talk it over with his fiance/family.

That sounds like too much BUT that's the kind of "overpayment" this team needs to make in order to attract a dancing partner. Been sayin it for over a month now. The ONLY way this team will get a legit Top 4 fwd or Dman is by overpaying. Then when we have the Right guy and get this whole mess straightened out. And start winning, maybe, just maybe other good players will agree to come to LI. But its going to take an overpayment or we'll continue to feast off the same Road Kill that falls to us every summer.

I can sign with LA or Chicago. Sit in traffic for hrs everyday. Sniff car fumes. Mingle with Hookers, Freaks and Morons. Wake up to the smell of piss in the streets every day, live in a penthouse on the 75 floor and feed pigeons off the patio.

I don't think you're far off at all. Might even be able to do it for less? They would be looking to dump salary so if they had the chips they wanted in place(Suter, Parise) they might be willing to dump them for less? It's really not that bad a trade for either side though I'd rather Strome not be part of it...

Pat Kane is one of my favorites in the league, but I don't thnk I give up that much......nor does Garth have the balls to pull off a blockbuster like this.
