True...but they are using $54 million as a place setter...Fehr did say recently that the season could start without an agreement.. - kear20
yes, but many people are saying if there is a new CBA, its very likely the floor will be lowered.... knowing how the isles operate, its very likely that Snow will wait to see if thats the case. Wang would much rather have the team be around 50 million and see a new floor of 49 so they dont have to add any salary instead of going all the way to 54 million and finding out they overspent. Dont kid yourself, this is their MO |

it was a response to your original comment "if its the isles. nothing" in reference to "talk about "what have you done for me lately"......
nowhere did i say these 3 will take us to the promised land or are they the next coming of jesus....just a simple response to your comment. the funny part is just when i thought your comment couldnt be any more moronic, you somehow figured out a way to out-moronic your previous comment with this beauty....keep up the good work!!! |

I wouldn't be suprised if you're right...i'm hoping they'll spend over the cap and try to bring in two more NHL quality players.. |

Looks like Pittsburgh...it's amazing how these crappy cities (ie Pitt, Edmonton, Detroit...) get the good players... |

How can the Hawks sign Parise? Their blogger has a piece up saying the Hawks are in on BOTH Parise and Suter. How is that even possible? Prediction: Parise to Minnesota, Suter to Detroit. I have nothing to base that on. |

I've been to Pittsburgh more times than I can count and I can count pretty high. Its actually a real cool town. When Crosby and Malkin are there to sell the organization owned by Mario Lemieux and playing in a new arena, its easy to see why players go there. Detroit is the Red Wings, probably the best run franchise in the NHL. Perennial contender for the better part of the past two decades. That's why guys go there. Edmonton, I have no idea why Schultz went there. I've never been there, but Ryan Smyth was crying when he got traded away so it must be real nice there. Plus, it doesn't hurt that the team has three straight #1 overall picks and Eberle playing there already. |

Oh good, Parise's big announcement was that he hadn't made a decision and won't set deadlines. |
