you're kidding, right?

Game 6.....first 8 minutes......cup in the building.......WHO WAS THE WORST CANUCK ON THE ICE?

That stretch set the tone for the rest of the series

He far from stole game 7 for you, too.

Boston was in on every single game, even the ones they lost in Vancouver.

Luongo couldn't stop a blind man shooting a beachball in Boston

nucks offense couldnt do anything against the bruins. doesnt matter if schneider is in net, if nucks could only score 8 in 7 games, they would have lost regardless.

I doubt Schneider dies in the first 8 minutes of game 6 the way Roberto did

The Penguins entered the league in 1967. That was A LONG LONG time ago (as Leafs fans would know!). Since then the Penguins have won 3 cups. Their longest playoff drought ever was 6 years and that was in the 1980's. Since the Penguins have entered the league they have enjoyed WAY MORE success than the Leafs who have not won a thing since then and continue to be the ONLY team in the entire NHL that has not made the playoffs since the lock out. The fans and team are mocked and laughed at by everyone else in the hockey world. Congratulations, if that's what you define as "success" then you can have it.

Not that I don't think Weber is worth the package mentioned in the article...I just think those types of deals are done, for the most part. Taking Philly as the example, sure they have depth, but Voracek and Courturier are vital to their future offense. Losing Coburn would be easy for a guy like Weber, but to throw in two big pieces like that PLUS a couple of first rounders?

Not a chance. In fact, I don't think any team would do that. If Weber's traded, it's for a package that a team could actually afford to lose...or a package of prospects/picks throwing Nashville into rebuild mode again.

That said...what about the scenario where Weber stays in Nashville without Suter? Why does he HAVE to go? Nashville is great at drafting D and goalies...just because Suter's not there doesn't mean he won't be happy with the blueline they end up with.

Trade Weber. Let Suter go to the Wings for too much money and for too many years. It's what is best for the Predators. If we played the game that every other franchise plays by, we'd be Columbus. No thanks.

I am so sick of people saying that Suter and Weber want to stay. No they don't. Weber made it clear last year. Suter has made it clear this year. If Weber wanted to stay he'd be locked up. If Suter wanted to stay he'd be locked up.

Great soldiers? Great teammates? Then why don't they act like it? Sign a deal. Take 6-7 million instead of 8-9 million. That's what a great soldier and a great teammate would do. And if you don't want to do that then let the team know within a reasonable time instead of holding the team hostage for literally YEARS. If they wanna go, go, no problem. But the way they're doing it has crippled the team's ability to move on. That's a great teammate? Not only leaving, but doing as much damage as possible on the way out?

Even better people? Sure. I'm sure they're great to hang out with. But let's stop living in this fantasy world where some athletes aren't greedy scumbags. ALL athletes are driven by ego and greed to some degree. It's what they're taught from a very young age. Stepping over the bodies of other players is how they get to this level. Sure they're heavily trained in PR and know the right things to say to keep the fans happy, that doesn't mean what they're saying is true. Suter and Weber can BS all they want about wanting to be in Nashville but when given the chance to prove it, they've both don't the exact opposite. Actions speak louder than words. Pekka wants to play for Nashville and he proved it loud and clear. Suter and Weber could do the same, they've chosen not to, that speaks volumes about what great soldiers and teammates they are.

As far as Ek's thoughts about trading Weber. This is obviously what the team should do. I 100% agree with it. Either one of those guys leaving wrecks the entire philosophy of the team and it's time to start over.

The problem is you still have to sell tickets. Particularly in this market where we've barely scratched the surface of becoming stable, do we really think this ownership group is going to lose Weber, Suter AND Tootoo and then try to sell tickets? No matter who they replace them with, it won't erase the stigma in a lot of people's minds that this group has lost the most popular player and their two best players in one off season. I'd love to see them try it, but I don't think they have the guts.

Imagine there was no cap. Would we have hit the $20 million player this year?
