Don't we have something like 12 million in cap space? If we go into next season with that much cap space, that would be a kick in the nuts.

The Leafs should be spending no less than 68 of 70 million in available cap. Any less is really an insult.

What was the point in buying out Armstrong? I assume there must be some salary they intend to pick up in his place.

You're depressing and saddening if you were looking for the Leafs to do anything. Burke and Nonis stated before the 1st that we wouldn't be dipping into the F.A except for depth/role players. They did however state that they would be making trades in the offseason. Calm your sensitive nipples and crank a beer.
