Ok , first of all, it would be better if you didnt assume I actually mean everything I said. You f'ers are pretty damn easy to rile up.......But, outside of maybe 5 goalies who are consitantly good year after year, the NHL is littered with one year wonders who become allstars and then do not repeat. That is why I thought Bryzgalovs deal was ridiculous and why I predict Quicks deal will go down as one of the worst in league history. If you pay attention to goalies, you will notice that every year there are several who come out of nowhere to be allstars - Smith, Johnson, Quick - did it this year, Halak a couple years ago, I could go on all night....the point is that any goalie capable of making it to the NHL in the first place has a chance to go on a season long tear. But if you look at the aggregate, it is only the HOF goalies - Brodeur, Kipprisoff, Holquist - who can keep it up year after year after year.

Detroit and Chicago both know this. I am hoping Burke does too.

The only guys i can see burke making a push for are guys like bernier or a luongo, stewart, mueller might be a good pick up, bobby ryan obviously, and stasny though i highly doubt colorado will trade him they have too much money and no need too.

I guess the price for Ryan is about the same as Nash. Too much. I wouldn't trade next years 1st for anything, and there's no way CBJ is trading Nash without a 1st coming back among other things.

I don't think Bernier is or has been ever considered. Good goalie but is he really better than Scrivens? No one can prove either way. So therefore he isn't worth the boatload of assets we would have to give for him.

St. Louis gave up a 1st overall pick for that guy, plus a 1st rounder (Shattenkirk was a majority of that as well, but tough to say who StL really paid for). Would love to get him tho.
