All of this is hypothetical

3rd line minutes in Vancouver isn't the same thing as third line with that lineup. He'd still be getting a lot more ice.

They get about 15 in Vancouver I don't think he'd get that much more here if he was on the 3rd line.

He averaged 13:49 last season, including his time with the Sabres. His last 5 games of the year he approached 20 mins twice and his lowest was 16:48 against Boston, while ostensibly being our third line center.

with the top 9 players we have i think the only difference in ice time should be special teams and riding hot streaks.

With the line up we currently have I agree but my earlier posts were referencing a line up where we have Doan Ryan Pominville and Vanek in our top 6. I would hope Ruff wouldn't distribute the ice time as evenly with that team.

Well when I (frank) up the difference between Kovalchuck and Ovechkin please call me out on it... but if you are really gonna choose your battles on the household name likliness of f'n John Scott.... your life is pretty small..\

I even brought up John Scott a few weeks back about him and McGrattan because they are both small time but underrated goons.. but I got laughed out of the bar for even bringing up those names...

for (frank) sake man... with age you are supposed to acquire wisdom not self-righteousness.

I'm out of here... hopefully everyone got their b!tching out of their system this weekend because that is all anyone has done since TextingSources has come on here.. or we all ate b!tch fillets for dinner. I've never even gotten into an argument with you either DD.

Ennis for Ryan is more then fair, people over value our players just like Darcy does.

...was just about to put this as well. Good lord people talk about overhyping other teams players, we do that to our own badly. If Ennis didn't get switched to center and go on that tear at the end of the season I doubt anyone would be saying no.

Another reason why we are stuck, overvalue of players with this team. If these guys were so great we would have a cup already, this team is to damm small and get the crap kicked out of them. Ennis I would move without question for Ryan, I would even add a pick or lower end player and I don't care who Ryan plays with on his line with the Ducks.

The only reason I wouldn't is because Ennis is now a center. If you start moving centers for wingers, unless it's a player you are absolutely looking to dump (i.e. Roy, who would never be a return for Ryan anyway) you end up with the same problem the Sabres had last year. Moving Ennis isn't a bad idea in of itself, but you have to bolster the center position even more if you are going to do it. Grigorenko is not proven enough to be relied on yet.

Stafford, Sekera/Pysyk, and either a 1st or Adam.

That would be my final offer for Ryan..

Trading any center for a winger that isn't named Roy just creates problems in our lineups... And I would trade Hodgson before I trade Ennis.

if Grigs isn't NHL ready this year every line up of ours is shot to sh!t because the lack of depth.

Ennis and Stafford right now have to have their highest trade value after the extremely strong end of the season campaign last year...

I think if we wanted to get Ryan for Ennis, we would have to add a upper end prospect in and maybe something else.

Ryan for Ennis, Weber and Adam? Both Weber and Adam seem to have lost their spots for the foreseeable future, but trading two centers away eliminates the recently gained center depth. If you are going to trade Ennis, you better be sure Grigerenko can play this year.

Roy is best as a 2C... and him in a contract year could be appealing to have... around the trade deadline this year he was playing really good hockey.

As long as we have a better option at 1C.. and Roy realizes his role.. he is fine.. if he can truly return to form after that injury almost 2 years later.. he is still a 65+ point center.
