Cody had 16 fighting majors in 2010.. Gaustad was next with 5... gee I'm such a dippoop to have the idea that he is the guy we send out to fight.. and wait a minute.. the guy that is sent out to fight is usually considered "the goon" of that team regardless on what offensive stats he does or doesn't put up.. he is considered the fighter of that team.

So, my understanding that because Brennan is 23, only 3 years removed from his ELC signing and has played less than 60 NHL games means he is still waiver exempt?

IMO from reading the CBA multiple times about this very same subject, that is correct.

If he were 24 and in his 5th year as a pro, he'd lose his exempt, unless he was an emergancy call up.
