Hold the phone, he IS NOT better than McCormick at skating, scoring, hitting, passing, defense..........well all his better than McCormick at is fighting.
- Homer

.... let me back up a second... The only time we every use McCormick is to fight.. and in that regard Scott is better... we don't use McCormick on the PK.. we don't use him to score.. and we don't use him on any "defensive lines"

the only time McCormick sees the ice is to fight or get a penalty.

He can win faceoffs is what you meant to say...

and why did he only play 55 games last year?? he was a healthy scratch just the same as Scott could be.

You are really clueless sometimes man.

why is it a panic signing? He addresses a need if you ask me...again, its only 600k and he plays what, 30 games? He's there if you need him.
- Homer

If it's only 600K then sign Arron Asham for 1M. If he's healthy he'll play 60 plus games, chip in some offense, and rack up PIMs.

Oh, I forgot. You said the other day a player like Asham was "a dime a dozen."

he also had to clear waivers. You cant just put guys in Rochester and not expose them to waivers, if they're waiver eligible. He was placed on waivers and there were no takers. Look it up
- Powerslave

You can do it at the beginning of the year with no penalty. If you recall them, they have to go through waivers. If they start the year on your team and you send them down after, they have to clear waivers.

"OMG we have no body that will stand up for Miller when he gets run.. this team is a bunch of pussies... I cannot believe it that we don't have any body that will fight for their teammates"

then we sign a good fighter...

"OMG what a waste of a roster spot.. he will probably only play like 45 games.. he doesn't know how to skate and can't score goals"

can't have it both ways.. I am not just saying this to you DD but I just used your post to reply to. I am sick of hypocritcal ppl that want it both ways.

Sabres place Ales Kotalik on waivers

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Sabres have placed forward Ales Kotalik and defenseman Shaone Morrisonn on waivers, but haven't written either veteran player out of their plans yet.

The moves announced Saturday enable the Sabres to trim just over $5 million from the salary cap. Buffalo had been about $3 million over the $64.3 million cap.

If the players aren't claimed off waivers by another team by Monday, they could be assigned to Rochester of the AHL.

I don't care about offensive output by these types of players...

Lets compare the offensive output of Shawn Thornton, Derek Boogard, Matthew Barnaby, Sean Avery, John Scott, Jordin Tootoo, Zac Rinaldo, Derek Dorsett, and Georges Laraque next.

it doesn't make any sense.. its like whipping before you poop.

Playing career Edit

Shaone started his hockey career with the Vancouver Thunderbird Minor Hockey Association (VTMHA). After proving himself at the community level, he was drafted by the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL and subsequently drafted in the 1st round, 19th overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He was later dealt to the Capitals on March 3, 2004 in the trade that sent Sergei Gonchar to the Bruins.

Morrisonn was often paired with 2007–08 NHL lead goal-scoring defenceman Mike Green.

Morrisonn has begun to prove himself as a tough, stay-at-home defenceman. During the 2008 NHL playoffs, Morrisonn played every game with a broken jaw and a separated shoulder.[1]

In 2008, after a long negotiation with the Capitals, Morrisonn filed for arbitration as he wanted to stay with the team but could not come to an agreement on financial terms. On July 26, 2008, an arbitrator awarded a one-year contract worth $1.975 million.[2]

On August 2, 2010 Morrisonn came to terms with the Buffalo Sabres.[3]

On September 24, 2011 he was waived by the Sabres.

thank you korean jesus...

another person understands that comparing the offensive output of a complete Goon is useless... the only reason he is here is to fight.. and at fighting.. he is the best on our team HANDS DOWN. Thats all he is getting his 600k check for so that is all that matters.

I stand corrected. Just read the CBA and there are certain exemptions that I misunderstood.

Regardless, Brennan is exempt from waivers even if he signs a 1 way contract due to games played.

Odd you put Avery and Barnaby in that group.

They had the ability to score 20g a year.
