With how much inflation is in the ufas signed today and how big the trade asking prices are... I would imagine that darcy has to be working the phones...

It seems like a better and smarter deal to trade pieces to only take on a few million in a deal vs adding these inflated contracts...

Players watch and listen around the league and they see how Lindy and the Sabres go about things, 16 yrs with Lindy and Darcy and no cups. Lindy is a crappy coach how many players have said it. Why would Parise come here?

But it contradicts what Dreger said earlier with the wings ramping up their interest in Nash. So I would think that combined with the samuelsson signing puts them likely out of it

All he said was that of the teams spector said Bob said were on the list Carolina is not one of them. He didn't say they list is only Pitt, Minn, Philly and NJ. The list could contain more teams they come out of left field all the time. I heard 20 teams wanted to pitch to him, lets not rule anything out.
