As per @Real_ESPNLeBrun, Bryan Allen gets three years at $3.5M per year from ANA.

Zach Parise's decision will not come until tomorrow. Has narrowed the field to a select group and will decide Monday.

Minny, Detroit, or Pitt I bet.... Pitt wins.

I was going the other way with that... Regehr did NOT earn his 4M pay day... his service was that of a 2.5M-3M veteran d-man.

Ehrhoff was our actual best D-man for most of last season... He should wear the C one day. Especially if/when Pommer might leave after next season.

- JVince11

Ehrhoff was may favorite player on the team last year but, he will never get the "C"

Starting to look like a deal for Bobby Ryan that McNabb would not need to be included now the ducks have signed Souray and Allen today.

Many other Sabres are way more overpaid than Regehr.

I had a realistic expectations with Regehr and he was what I expected. This is the player he has been the last couple years. Anybody who expected more was just kidding themselves. That's not Regehr's fault

- RayHatesDomi

the Sabres expected a lot more, so I guess they are kidding themselves. You expected him to be a minus 12? I didnt. I, and I know the Sabres, also expected him to be way more physical than he was. He has clearly lost a step.

what makes you think that?? he was a great voice for this team.. he stood up for the team when stuff happened in their zone.. he is gonna be here for the next 10 years..

Its basically... Foligno, Ennis, Ehrhoff, Myers, or McNabb who will wear it after Pommer goes..

or unless we bring in a new vet like Parise or Getz/Perry if they actually hit the UFA market next summer.

Market was set real early for Parise/Suter 12-13 year deals offered at 90M plus. Incredible to hear #NHL teams willing to go there.

Lockout here we come...

Ennis will never wear the C. I know they want Myers to assume that roll, but its looking more and more like he never will.

The Sabres should be disappointed in a lot of players then...they missed the playoffs

Agree with you on the play of Ehrhoff and hoping we resign Pommer.I could see Vanek not being here or even traded before his contracts up.Im keeping one of the two of them and imo Pomminville has been worth is weight in gold over the time hes been here

Then yes, they were kidding themselves. Did they think it was 2007? Regehr hasn't been that player in a couple years. I still thought he was good defensively. To me +/- is a bs stat

I was just naming our young talent... I didn't believe he would either...

Grigorenko has a chance too I would assume...

Insane isnt it ?Look at Richards last year and one player couldnt buy the Rangers the cup could it ?At some point teams have to pass.
- buffalo 1

nobody ever said a player like Richards could buy anyone the Cup. He is good but no longer a game changer

I agree. My point was that these contracts are getting out of control and will probably cause a work stoppage.

I think potential future captains could be hodgson or maybe Mcnabb or Foligno. I obviously don't know but that's my gut. Ennis will not be the captain. I don't have faith Myers ever will be either
