If Doan is leaving PHX I think he'll be looking for more than a 2 year deal and I think teams will pony up for 4.

Bingo and that is going to happen. This is what happens when Tommy Boy gets the keys to company. Bowman doesn't have the stones to make the necessary trade.

Over 35 contracts don't work the same way as traditional contracts. Buyer beware.

The "35-and-Older" Clause:

When a player aged 35 or older signs a multi-year contract, his average salary is counted against the team's salary cap during every year of the contract, even if the player retires before the contract is up.

If the player is sent to the minor leagues, his cap hit is reduced by $100,000.

If he decides to stay in PHO ,then you are caught there holding your Johnson.
