That's debatable. But my point is same as yours. We need grit on top two lines. Foligno fits nicely and could be had pretty easy.

At the end of the day when the smoke clears, SB will have done nothing but maybe a minor tweaks. I believe that they said they would make a big splash cause that is what Hawk Nation wants to hear. Also it will be anounced that they were in deep on every deal but the deals signed by the players they were after would have thinned the team of its depth.

Hawks will sign players to nice, cheap, short term contracts - just like last year.

With the same results.

If everyone is signing players to "overpayed" contracts, they aren't overpaying any more - that is the market.

I agree. And the only one complaining about the Oduya contract now is Oduya. He probably could have got $4 mil per season.

I'm hoping we get Garrison for a reasonable price. Then Stan has some cap space for a forward.

I agree with you. To many teams with cap money to burn chasing marginal talent = overpaid marginal talent.

The hawks have to many forwards signed and alot of prospects at the forward positions.

something has to give via trade if the Hawks are going to fill holes
