Not a bad contract for that young team. I think they may be a force by the end of the this upcoming season. Not a playoff team yet, but they will really gel.

I've got to say, for 30 minutes prior to free agency frenzy... this is a pretty weak showing by Flyers fans in here.

According to TFP, the Ottaw Senators will pursue Parise extremely hard, however it is noted that it is unknown if Parise would sign on to play for them.

On the other hand you could have a Luongo situation.

Well as devils advocate... the only long term contract left on their roster is Pronger and Bryz. They traded away all 3 of the long term deals they signed players to the past few years. Maybe that tells you Bryz's struggles and Prongers situation have really scared them with long term deals?

Also... all the d-men listed above in the current flyers lineup were acquired via trade. Maybe make a move during the season for one?

I'm satisfied with actually giving a kid a chance at that spot. I'd like to see what any of them have and then make a move at the deadline if needed. I feel we have a good enough D.

They should've been scared about Pronger's contract. It was absolutely absurd.

Personally, I was then, and am still worried about Breeze's years. Another bad decision, one not made objectively.

I'd be interested in Salvador, but on the cheap. He played way better in the playoffs than he actually is.
