Agreed, I wouldn't mind if Parise signs with the Pens just as long as the cap hit is over $8 million/yr. If they can land Suter, most of his contract will be offset by Kimmo coming off the books after next year.

I don't wish any player injury, but I find it hard to believe over the next 5 years Crosby again doesn't miss a decent amount of time. He is not a perimeter player, he will take more shots. I'm not sure how much weight really playing with Crosby makes in Parise's decision.

Flyers are dealing from a position of strength at this point. They have a solid top 7 on D and Gustaffson in the AHL. They have 2 NHL caliber goalies and the same offense minus Jagr with 7 0r 8 in cap space. I know JVR was on the roster, but he was out so much it's not a hit to not have him. Great position to be in.
