He's had a monster day. Signing Leighton at Noon, then taking his afternoon bike ride, followed by his early evening nap.

That Leighton deal is the steal of the day. Only player that wasn't overpaid today on the market.

Garrison left $ on table - was offered "Wideman money" elsewhere - but wanted to play for hometown VAN, which held firm on internal $ scale.

It's all likely a guess "people" are running with, which we have no idea how true or accurate it is so take everything with a grain of salt.

I thought turning down a 1 yr deal @ 3 million was a bad decision on his part. Boy was I wrong, 3 years 11 million, wow.
- Pat MaGroin

Bunch of overpaid players today thanks to all the cap floor teams. Boy what a swing and miss summer this could be for the flyers.

I didn't realize the Flyers had the cap room to sign both guys.

Personally, Im ok with bringing him back, thought it'd be at 550 K though. I wonder if he actually backs up or if he's the AHL guy.

Offers are out. Money is irrelevant now. They need to land the big fish. There is no plan B at this point for decent roster filling players it seems

As good as they are sometimes they don't get all the info right. While it might be on par with it we have no way to know for 100% fact.

If Suter, and Parise sign elsewhere, the damage control will be epic.

I'm betting it's like the Briere, Drury, Gomez offers back in 2007. Whoever responds first takes the other offer off the table.

Why? Homer will move to the next plan. I can see him going after Ryan at that point.
