I heard the samething about Carter/Nash last summer... not saying that'll be the case but chemistry isn't always a lock. I'd rather the price be more econimical before i roll the dice and find out.

Giroux/Parise are on a completely different level than Carter/Nash... that's not even close to a legitimate comparison...

even if you don't like the signing, it's a one year deal for a backup goalie. all the gnashing of teeth over it is absurd

this makes me think about Parise and Crosby, maybe they will and maybe they won't have chemistry together

they both like to score by going to the net

I'm guessing they would be great together but you never know

- Marc D

I'm guessing that with Crosby's soft shell that it ends up being Parise/Kennedy not Parise/crosby... just saying.

save your energy I feel as though there will be much to debate about within the next few days.

First the draft sucked and now the backup Goalie screw up. Time for Holmgren to be fired, and the FLyers will be run by Hockeybuzz posters by committee. Because they know better then he does.

Yet the people complaining about such minor things absolutely love the players he has acquired the past few years (schenn, couturier, voracek)..

Let's not pretend that we know who the Flyers have made offers to, or who they are interested in. It's Free Agency. Players choose what offers to accept.

The Flyers have made offers to Parise and Suter per Dreger and many other reliable journalists.

Just reported on NHL Network they have offered deals of $100+ mill to both Suter and Parise.

Who has won more Stanley Cups as an NHL Executive Holmgren and Clarke combined or a random HockeyBuzz poster?

I would say that Giroux is on a different level. Parise and Nash are comparable players. Carter is close to those two but a small step behind.
