I realize this is NOT going to happen, but what if Suter looks at the Oilers and realizes that if he came here this team would be just deadly, that would be hilarious if he came here. - ALEDDO
Not for 7-8 million. Such a weak crop this year...the Wideman price point makes me think Suter will take the full amount of how the market was set - and what it will bare.
What do you think about Schultz, Pajaarvi + 1st for Luongo? - Scooby_Doo
Don't want that contract. Dubnyk had a superb second half last season. Given the opportunity to be the team's starter I think he will do well this year.
You dam skippy, still some work to be done... DOAN? - DrinkOil
I would be happy with signing one of the following Carle, Doan, Jagr, or Tootoo. But from the sounds of Tambi's interview this afternoon it looks like he is looking to make splash by going the trade route.

Really? Has everyone forgotten that stretch after Khabby started pooping himself where Dubnyk was letting in a softy a game.
The latter second half certainly got better and I can only hope that was his true development.
It's his year. They have to give him games and he has to run with it.

I wouldn't bring back Eager and Hordichuk. - Scooby_Doo
we are still the softest team in the league, or near Eager was sougt after and signed a 3 yr deal he will remain, hes fast and rigid, and the toughest forward under contract, a bad yr but no problem
This is pretty huge for the Oilers though... perfect guy to add right now at no real cost.
Took Nail in the draft, and ended up with Schultz who can step in right away.
The future looks bright.

No Kidding. If Schultz steps in as expected (or even exceeds, like Gardiner did last year) then it's essentially as though you've been given two top 5 selections.
