Haven't you been paying attention to the news today the last person was Justin Schultz come on man where have you been?

You guys had to offer a 21 y.o unproven kid with zero NHL experience top 2 minutes. Also, because you had a feeling that the minutes wouldn't be enough, you asked Gretzky and Paul Coffey to call him. LOL... He definitely didn't go on his own.

Edmonton is like people on Welfare. All the freebies they can get but still in a crappy situation.

Edmonton is actually an awesome place to live. The winters are obviously bloody cold, but its beautiful during the summer. You should check it out sometime

I love Marmot Basin, the ski resort in Jasper, (frank)ing amazing. Also the Jasper Park Brewery makes some of the best beer in Canada in my opinion. Funny thing is because it's located within a national park they said they can't really sell their stuff in beer stores, it's only on site. (frank)ing want to go back to Jasper and grab some turns on the mountain and some beers there real bad.

I was just there yesterday. Awesome place! I'd also recommend checking out Alley Kat brewing in Edmonton, Howe sound out of BC and Mill street in Toronto

Awe is somebody having a tantrum because his dreamboat Schultz decided not to sign with the Leafs? Buck up champ the Leafs future is not as bleak as you might think.

I'd have obviously preferred that he signed with the leafs, but at least now I get to see the kid play. If he didn't come to us, there's nowhere else I'd rather him go than the Oil...

Awesome! I haven't had Alley Kat or Howe, but I'm a Mill Street fanatic. Tankhouse is my go-to. Tree Brewery and Granville Island out of BC is great too, and they have just gotten distribution in the LCBO recently. Jasper and Banff are so amazing, great hiking and wildlife in the summer and world class skiing and boarding in winter.

lol You Edmonton fans make me laugh. Did I want Schultz? Not really because I thought to my self: Where would he fit?

We have Phaneuf, Liles, Franson, Gardiner, Gunnarsson, Komisarek. We have Korbinian Holzer, Stuart Percy and Jessy Blacker knocking on the door. Not to mention Morgan Rielly who will be added next year.

Toronto is stacked on D, so we aren't as desperate as you guys. For your sake, I hope it works out and he doesn't become a bust. Edmonton has had rough times that three straight 1st overalls couldn't fix.. maybe adding schultz will help. Good luck!

Tantrum? lol. Aww, I'm sure that's what you're hoping for. I want to see how you will react if Schultz turns out to be a bust. Even without him, Toronto's defence is head and shoulders better than Edmonton's. Plus we have solid defensive prospects on the wings... So why would I be mad?

Nice try tho.

I never made it out to Whistler, want to check it out of course, it's the big one. Loved Sunshine and Marmot, Kicking Horse in B.C. was just insane. For a skiier nothing in the east compares, although Tremblant is a great set-up. Nothing like the rockies though...

Weren't the leafs 29th in goals allowed last year how is that stacked? Don't get me wrong they have a couple high end assets but by no means are they stacked.

Big congrats to Tamby and everyone else involved in the process of getting Schultz, very happy to see Tamby pulling out all the stops to get talented quality players, very happy to see him CHOOSING the Oilers, just 2 years ago players would never think to join our organization. Lets just sign up Suter or Carle for another defenseman and Penner or Jagr for another forward. Also sign Laraque to protect our squad, always will be a fan favorite.

Nail Yakupov was drafted last week and hasn't played a single game. RNH has not yet played a full season, nor has Hall, yet they have been "unable to solve the Oiler's problems". You are such an idiot.

I'm ok with signing him to a PTO to see if he really still has game in him.

You're right. But we've had suspect goaltending all of last year. Thats one area leafs have had no luck in is goaltending. But think about it tho, next year (2013) we will have:

Phaneuf - Liles

Rielly - Gunnarson

Franson - Percy/Holzer/Blacker/Komisarek.... Thats solid to me.

If the Leafs "D" is so stacked it shouldn't matter who was in net should it?

Granted there are some skilled players on your list but a lot of it is just leafs land hyping there players. Almost every fan base can spin there roster the same way you are but until they take the next step they are average at best.

The Leafs' D has a couple of solid pros and some real good prospect depth, that is all. The offense was good last year, Kessel I think earned the right to have people STFU for a bit. It was the coaching and goaltending, and bottom six that ate a big Richard last year.
