Despres Kunitz Bennett would be a start - Gunner Staal
That would be more than enough after the GM has Ryan forcing the trade now. |

detroit seems to be signing some lower level guys right now. although hard to look at any of them as bad signings. i think samuelsson will really excel there. - stayinthefnnet
Well last time he was there he buried the GWG to win the Cup against us. |

would you move despres bennett and kunitz for ryan? i know you have high regards for ryan, but if im not mistaken you share my high opinion of despres (even as early as this year for him) |

Kunitz, TK, 3rd rd pick and prospect? Too much? - PensMalkin71
It takes 2 teams to trade.
4 straight years of 30 goals.
If you still had Staal, he's where the bidding would start. Not 2nd line wingers and 3rd round draft picks

I think I heard on NHL network.... Bob Mckenzie said flyers have 100 mil offers for both Parise and Suter. If true, that's insane. Suter isn't a 100 million dollar player. Just not. Not sure I think Parise is worth that either. damn. |

Simon Despres or Morrow or Harrington as a prospect. That is a good deal. |

id do it. morrow, pouliot, and maatta are looking better than despres, and bennett isnt looking like anything special. you also take out kunitz contract which balances the cap a bit to make other moves |

With the loss of Schultz the Ducks might be looking for a young near NHL ready defender to grow and partner with Fowlers. Unfortunately for us that equals Despres, because I don't think the Ducks would be taking Harrington, Sneep, Bortuzzo or Strait. |

Man Giroux is an IDIOT for signing his extension when he did...
What kind of money would he be looking at, even as an RFA??

If the ducks are taking prospects. Got to believe they'd want Morrow. Despres looks to be a nice, possible top 4 D, but Morrow their top prospect. |

in all seriousness... if we lose out on Parise tomorrow... im fine with that. I would just feel uneasy giving another guy a 10 year deal for a lot of money.
If we get him and it's a fair contract, great. But i wont lose any sleep if we miss out on him.

the flyers rumor is alarming, but i just wonder how they could afford to make that fit cap wise. |

Logic suggested Hossa stayed (08), Jagr returned (11), so I'm not sure logic is #pens friend on #PariseWatch
Pittsburgh Penguins @pghpenguins
#Pens sign forward Warren Peters to 1-year, 2-way deal: http://bit.ly/NTGSec
I think they would ask for Morrow as well. |

i feel the same way. i really want him, but if this is what is required to obtain him then he can go somewhere else. however, i am still of the belief that an upgraded winger for sid needs to happen. i know offense wasnt the huge issue, but i still think one needs to be brought in. and frankly, there arent that many young good guys out there that could be had. |

i agree... as much as our defense sucked... it would be harder for teams to have a suitable attack against us if we had parise-crosby-dupuis coming from behind...
not to mention, he would actually give us the ability to have 2 legit PP units. |

i just feel like its okay give parise like 9 a year for half a century or well, you can always trade one of those d prospects for chris stewart. i just wish there was some better options out there, but i guess thats the name of the game anymore. teams do their best to lock up their guys to avoid this god damn mess |

If things work out where Parise and Suter get 100 mil dollar deals. Not sure any player will be signing extensions unless they're really happy where they are.....like Sid actually. Anaheim's got Getzlaf and Perry up next year....that will be interesting times. CBA could change so much though.... |

I would move Despres and not think twice. ONLY because Shero is borderline psychotic about stocking the system with blue chip defense prospects. |

yeah i understand. what would worry me is the value that i feel despres could bring NOW. to go out and try to replace him with a veteran is going to cost like 4 times as much. apparently they just inked souray to a 3 year deal that wasnt exactly cheap in my eyes. i am sorry but i just do not freaking get them. |
