Suter will want a large/long deal too, so we are stuck with two more large contracts and i think letang will end up leaving - Magicmanmalkin
The subtraction of Orpik, Kunitz, and Martin because of age or trades will make sure Letang stays |

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Prust deal in Montreal: $3 M next season, then $2.5 M next 2 yrs, then $2 M in last year
Too much money....Glass deal looks good compared to this one.
Josh Yohe @JoshYohe_Trib
Pens have never front-loaded deals before. But they did with Sid - $36 million in first three years - and they are willing to with Parise.
Rob Rossi @RobRossi_Trib
Told #pens have gone BIG on #PariseWatch but not sold that decision will be made today; club feels good about talks
We have to get it done.. - Orpik44
I would be nervous for this to go into tomorrow even if the signs are there that he will sign with the Pens. Too many things could happen. I remember years back when we went to bed thinking that Paul Kariya was going to sign with the Pens the next morning and instead went to St. Louis.
Then of course there was the Jagr situation of last year when everyone thought he was coming back to Pittsburgh.
I really hope they can get it signed, sealed, and delievered tonight. |

TIOPS says we checking in with Garrison because Suter price to high.
http://insidepittsburghsp...-price-source-says/50385/ - lloyd095
This is why TIOPS kind of sucks. The guy is a slightly better Marc Andre Bergeron whose about to be paid like Patrice Bergeron (couldn't think of another one so I'm just using a Bergeron for continuity). He's not that good. Not the type Shero would look for |

pens do need to upgrade the D, but parise can help. Hes not only a great forward, but also a great back checker, PKer, and never gives up on the play. He has been used on a shutdown line and will provide much more confidence to the defense. Plus he can help keep the puck in the offensive zone which then helps the defense |

Agreed!!! I think Allen, or Shannon would be cheaper fits. The Pens are going to make some trades I think. If we get Parise I could see TK, Kunitz, Lovejoy, and young defense possibly moving. |

penguins were also very confident about getting Hossa resigned...
expect the unexpected.
excited though. wonder when it happens... i dont want this to go into tomorrow... - SuperHenderson13
There was no way Hossa was coming back to Pittsburgh. No one should have been confident. Parise is a different story.

He is def 2 way responsible, but we need someone to stablize Letang just as much as we do Sid |
