Someone please explain to me, and I am asking nicely, why you would ever trade Kadri.

Are Leaf fans allergic to skill?

Or just patience?

WHy do people want Burke to dump draft picks before they get a chance to develop?

Outside of Phil Kessel, who on our roster has a higher offensive upside of Kadri.

Honestly I am getting sick of how Leafs fans only give their draft picks 2 years to turn in to superstars.

- Jimmy_T

It's all about asset management. If the Leafs get a bonafide #1C and Kadri is part of the return, I'm all for it because Kadri likely isn't going to be a #1C and the Leafs need one.

Kadri for a #5 defenceman, no thanks.

Ok, since everybody is on their soap box and claiming to be better fans than the next guy because somebody might want to trade somebody or not. Why are "all Leaf fans" afraid to trade guys like Kadri or other young guys? If a deal came about for a Getzlaf type player you'd quash the deal because they included a guy who may or may not become a 2nd line centre? Wouldn't the smart thing to do be get the guy who will help the team for the next 6 years with his proven talent? I understand the need to draft a superstar but guess what, unless something magical happens the Leafs don't seem to have one waiting in the wings...or centres (LAWLZ).

Yeah I did watch the calder cup, I suppose I knew . Remember before the playoffs when Rosehill, Orr and Wilson I think fought those 3 guys at different places on the ice at the same time? That was fun....

Parros, Prust ?

Lupul-JVR-Kessel
MAC-Grab-Kule
Kadri/Prust-Bozak-Frattin
Brown-Steckel-Rosehill

I know JVR isn't a center but unless somebody gets moved... I just don't want to see Bozak there again.

That line needs to be detonated....

May as well leave the dust there, with his injuries it'll be collecting a lot of it.
- Juice

not only should we bring him back! we should also sign him to a 12 year deal with no insurance! That'll show eveyone

I actually think with Browns skating ability and nastiness he could be more suited to a third line role with Connolly and Frattin.
- steve362

I feel like that would make the fourth line a liability though, who would you put on it in place of him?

He was at 18...

Agree, definitely lost faith in a guy that will shine for years to come. Honestly though, he'll probably be much better off with Philly. #flyerforlife

- A_Tree

We ran out of patience with him? So did Philly with JVR. I'll take a potential top 6 power forward over a shut-down d-man any day. Even if Schenn plays to his potential, he won't put up points. So what would the Leafs rather have? Young power forward like JVR or a shut down dman?

no - they take the whole salary and cap...
- Seahawk

with the cap going up, I wouldn't be surprised to see Armstrong picked up on waivers then.

COL, ANA, NYI come to mind.

Why not? Bozak may not be premier talent, but he's steadily increased his production over his tenure here. I have no complaints with him or his play.
- A_Tree

Ya I dont understand the Bozak hate. He was thrown into a 1st line center role and he is not a 1st line center.. I dont know what people expected from this kid, did they actually think he's be our solution? Maybe thats why they're so dissappointed.

This is what's wrong with the majority of leafs fans....they say they want a real rebuild but have zero patience to let a stay-at-home dman develop. He won't be near his potential for another 2 maybe 3 years.

He's 23 and people think he should be logging 22+ minutes a night.

- Juice

Hey, do not every lump me in with most leaf fans.

Most Leaf fans think Burke is doing a bad job. They say ridiculous things like "we should trade Kadri"

Luke Schenn is one of my favorite players in the NHL, but when you trade a defensive defensemen for a top line forward you have made an incredible theivery. Look, the only reason this trade was even possible is beacuse of JVR's injury history. If he was healthy this last year, there is no way PHilly would make that trade. That is a fact.

If Kulemin get's over his personal crap for this year I think they would return to prior glory. Mac and Grab played pretty similar to the year before that Kulemin was difference in my opinion, if he can't get him back drop him to the third line use JVR in his place.

I would pay to see someone tell this to Joey Kocur. The best president of the united states and the best poster in the hockey world both keep the Y.

Really that is one of the dumbest things I have ever read.

Just saying. And dont suspend me for having an opinion. But smug peole who think they have to act all grown up just really bug the hell out me.

*makes the connection of "jimmY"*

Hey you know me, I'll warn you 15 times before I ban you, then you will choose to ignore all the warnings and PM's and then get banned.

It's not acting all grown up, it's actually being an adult, like not pretending to hit someone and saying "Psych!" and saying "punch buggy, no punch backs".

Not exactly...still a trade anyone should make 10 out of 10 times and hes big and has skill...but noone would call him a power forward...Dustin Brown, David Backes, Milan Lucic those are power forwards
