semin sign for 1 year? he wont. he will sign for multiple years hopefully in the KHL
he signed a 1 year deal last year, hes not going to again just to play it (frank)ing Toronto - wingz4life
I see, so because he signed a 1 year last year, he won't this year....
I'm almost certain Semin has come out and said staying in the NHL is his priority.. (may not have been him though)

Except semin is the only one that's "lazy", and at least he's show brief spurts of defensive awareness..
Edit: semin, brief spurts.. |

Nah.. Im willing to bet other than say a Parros, theres nothing that would really interest leafs in free agency...most of their attention is on Luongo, obviously significant upgrade in net has the most likely chance of having the greatest impact. Hes already added Komarov for a 3rd line role to replace Army. Needs a top 6 power forward (centre please? theres tons of em right?) and hes only get that by trading.. I actually wouldnt be surprised to see Kessel traded, but itll be a big deal none of us will see coming..just dont think he fits with Carlyles system, and for the return you might get right now.. I dunno, ive had a few drinks so haha |

Komarov goes to the marlies. He'll fight with marcel mueller for air there. Define replacing Armstrong...
Hopefully the leafs have already told gillis to (frank) off with luongo. Pure insanity. |

I assure you Burke (and Komarov) have discussed spot on big roster, hes not coming over to play on Marlies...Not to say he wont have to earn it, but the style he plays he will be alot more useful that lombardi or connolly on the 3rd line..

Not too mention Komarov said if he's not on the big roster by November.... he's back in the KHL...
Komarov will be on our 4th line with Stecks and Brown.. I see our bottom 6 looking like this
Prust - Lombardi/Connolly - Frattin
Komarov - Steckel - Brown |

I assure you he's coming to north America for the same reason 80 % of non impact europeans and russians do, a shot at the NHL. The guy has shown nothing to suggest he will ever be anything I significance. And if he has come to north America with some form of agreement to play in the NHL, you should slap your GM. The man is nothing but 15% of everything mike brown brings to the table.
I heard the same spiel about marcel mueller when he was signed. |

Only problem i have with that is that D'amigo is ready for the NHL. You want a guy like Prust cause hell add leadership, but you develop kids like D'amigo to get them to this point, you cant stunt that buy signing someone. I dunno really whats gonna happen. Burke needs to move guys. Needs to improve top 6 but HAS to move Mac, Lombo, Connolly... Unless he trades Kessel for a big centre, i imagine Kulemin is an attractive piece but you better be getting something great cuz Kulemin is most effective player at both ends, his scoring disappeared, but if youve watched him you know how smart this guy is, hell be fine |

1. Komarov said if he's not on Leaf roster by November, he's going back to russia (told his KHL GM that)
2. Komarov has proved in russia that he is a solid player... he's a super-pest.... Something we need.
3. Komarov would fit nicely with Stecks and Brown

I just have a gut feeling Kessel might be moved this summer for a center... i'm trying to figuere out who needs a winger, and has excess centers available.... My only thought that jumps into my head is Colorado...
I like D'Amigo as well, and Prust doesn't really fit on a 3rd line role anyway... but is D'Amigo-Lombardi-Frattin a big enough 3rd line for Carlyle?

At the end of the day, to be competitive in the NHL you need a #1 Goalie, a #1 Dman and a #1 Centre..Leafs have really none.. a guy who couldve been a #1 dman and a guy who looks like hes on his way, but not there. So until they at least fix one of those its so hard for me to imagine this team bein much better |
