Plus, its not like other gms are going to over pay for a guy coming off one good year our of 6 who has a history of injuries.

It makes no sense to trade him.

all those reasons, including the injury history, are reasons to trade him. Buy low and sell high, Lupul was a throw in when we got him, and now we could probably get a fairly significant return for him.
