We have Brown....why do we need Prust? Goal should be replacing Army with Doan.
- Phenom

Agreed. Not what I want, I was saying what I believe Burke will do.

Pretty much the most obvious thing to do before you buyout a player.

"All he needs to do". That is not an easy task at all. And he didn't buyout Colby to make room for a youngster. Colby will be replaced by a guy like Prust.
- dionschenn

Forget Prust...no more 3rd, 4th liners.

100% you would be. Leafman takes no prisoners. Keeps the boards nice and clean.

Leafman is corrupt with E-power.

Well he's gotten rid of 1/3 of the dead weight. And IMO, he should be focusing on getting rid of the other 2/3 rather than waste his time with trades or UFA signings.

And I'd rather our third line this year be the kid line:

Frattin - Colborne - Kadri

- Pen15

I would love for that to be our third line. But unfortunately there's no chance. Even without the new summer additions we will get, that wouldn't happen. That would mean guys like Macarthur/Connolly wouldn't be in the lineup. I'm not opposed to this, but I just don't think it would happen.

I know, I know.....meh, whatever. Like I said, I hope he becomes Ray Bourque if he signs here and busts if he signs elsewhere. Having said that, looking at the options, I hope its Edmonton, despite Cloutier.

It's not like I REALLY wanted him anyway, but he's a commodity and another asset, so I was hoping.

- Phenom

Don't do this.

But I hope he picks Edmonton too if it's not us.

I have to disagree. I am not in any way sold on Colborne. I have a feeling he'll never be an NHL top-6. i could be wrong, but I think they should package him in a deal now while he still has some prospect value.

If things work out well and we're able to snag a #1C & the likes of Shane Doan, I'd like a 2nd & 3rd line of

JVR Grabo Doan
