Aulie? |

It seems as though the Leafs traded two defensive defenders for two big forwards and it seems odd that they would have traded both instead of keeping at least one of the two. Especially when you consider the Leafs have big problems in the defensive zone. - Two_For_Truth
Exactly my problem. I don't like it at all. Doesn't make sense. |

Well he's gotten rid of 1/3 of the dead weight. And IMO, he should be focusing on getting rid of the other 2/3 rather than waste his time with trades or UFA signings.
And I'd rather our third line this year be the kid line:
Frattin - Colborne - Kadri - Pen15
how about we deal mac and kulemin as well
2nd line
Kadri-Grabo-JVR
Frattin - Colborne - Ashton/Ross (my guess, ross comes to camp and has a huge showing and carlyle is forced to keep him on) |

He was at 18...
Agree, definitely lost faith in a guy that will shine for years to come. Honestly though, he'll probably be much better off with Philly. #flyerforlife - A_Tree
Schenn will have a good career and will be a good tough shutdown dman. Philly is a good place for him too. year one he was good, year two was a sophomore slump most rookies have, year 3 he rebounded and had a great season, year 4 he just signed the big contract and I think he felt he needed to live up to it and it put added pressure to his game. He'll be fine. |

You're only saying that because of Kadri. To be fair, Grabo improved greatly in his own end last season and JVR isn't known to be a liability. |

WINGER. This madness needs to stop. - dionschenn
HOw is it madness? JVR played centre his whole life. He was drafted as a centre. He then joined a Flyers team that had Gireux, Richards, Carter etc. Could some of the reason he has not already turned into the player he was expected to be because he was not playing his natural position?
I am not saying is or will be a centre on the Leafs. Only that he might be and that suggesting that is not in any way, shape, or form "madness" |

i'm sure carlyle will teach them to play defensively. grabo is actually pretty good defensively, thats when he gets his best opportunities is when he plays a more defensive game, he even admitted that himself in an interview |

Someone please explain to me, and I am asking nicely, why you would ever trade Kadri.
Are Leaf fans allergic to skill?
Or just patience?
WHy do people want Burke to dump draft picks before they get a chance to develop?
Outside of Phil Kessel, who on our roster has a higher offensive upside of Kadri.
Honestly I am getting sick of how Leafs fans only give their draft picks 2 years to turn in to superstars. - Jimmy_T
For the record, I really like Kadri. I hope we can keep him....I'd trade Colborne a million times first. BUT....I'm saying IF they get a #!C right now, he'll most likely have to be included in the deal. Especially since in that scenario, there'd really be no room for him in the top-6. there's no point putting him on the third line with his skillset. |

I'm still holding out hope. Just like I'm holding out hope Burke does something to drastically improve this team..even, get this...IF IT INVOLVES TRADING KADRI!!!! |

No.
All of those guys play in the offensive end. Grabo may dip his toes in our end, but that's it. |

Yeah I did watch the calder cup, I suppose I knew . Remember before the playoffs when Rosehill, Orr and Wilson I think fought those 3 guys at different places on the ice at the same time? That was fun....
Parros, Prust ?
Lupul-JVR-Kessel
MAC-Grab-Kule
Kadri/Prust-Bozak-Frattin
Brown-Steckel-Rosehill
I know JVR isn't a center but unless somebody gets moved... I just don't want to see Bozak there again. - maverickJ

The only issues I have are the following: perhaps Schenn could have been in a package for a better player or CENTRE. And the Aulie for Ashton trade now really bothers me. With Schenn gone, it would have been nice to keep Aulie. Ashton doesn't look like he'll get a chance to make our lineup for years to come. - dionschenn
Personally I think that for his size Aullie does not play anywhere close to as physical game as he should. Hes like a really tall girl! In all honesty I think he's a great kid and I hope he puts it together for the Lightning, but I think Ashton is a better prospect. |

Is this a real opinion?
Burke will resign both playes, do not doubt it for a second. I am 100% on this.
The only thing worse than when Leafs fans eat their prospects alive is when they prematurly trade their stars because they might have to pay them? You know its not your money right?
