I honestly don't know what to do in this. Will probably end up in the pub at some point I'd imagine, just like on a fine January afternoon. |

Much like #Rangers Richards last July, #Devils Parise will be in Toronto huddled with Newport Sports awaiting #NHL teams to present offers
Oh great, another one of those?!? Meanwhile Ryan Suter will be hanging out at his ranch in Wisconsin with his agent fielding phone calls and mowing the lawn. I wonder which approach I'd prefer... |

As long as he keeps his hand out of the mower! Sakic ruined his swan song by trying to DIY around his house. |

Strickland just said it's down to the Oilers and Sens.....what a douche. Grows up a fan of the team than all of a sudden chooses a rival. - Boinker

Two on two rushes just wrapped up, Jensen made a slick move to open a lane to the net. Scored a goal a drew a noticeable gasp from the brass |

its pretty simple who ever get luongo, gets better 6 years is not that long. He will still be younger than brodeur is now . you get a star goalie in Toronto and finally make the playoffs . Burke doesn't get fired. if he goes to Florida they are very strong going into the playoffs. plus with the history of luongo in Florida he will bring people into the rink... |

He'll get minutes in Vancouver....they need a puck-moving defenseman pretty badly. |

Ya. His family has season tickets to the Canucks. After all his dad did for him you'd think he'd be nice enough to throw him a bone and cheer for the Canucks and his son at the same time. |

Of all the teams that "won free agency," "won the trade deadline," or "won the draft," how many "won the Stanley Cup"?

I read yesterday that the Schultz family does not, in fact, have season tickets to the Canucks. Living in Kelowna would be a bit of a commute for games no? |

You know.. I get a kick out of Canuck chuckleheads like Ian who think Coffey and Gretz called the guy to talk about the glory years to this kid because you are too damn ignorant to maybe think that they were talking about the RICH HISTORY this team has overall through it's whole existence, and not just a 7 year stretch. And the type of organization this team has and everything tied around that. Sorry, I understand you might not see this because the Canucks don't have a sniff when it comes to this. That's what happens when your team has won jack poop and will continue to do so. You guys had your time in the sun and you blew it, twice.
Maybe instead of bashing the Oilers organization and thinking that no players want to come to Edmonton anymore, you should get some knowledge and brainpower and know what the ^%$# you are talking about. I know, I know.. it's hard, because most Vancouver fans have become like Leaf fans. Think every player wants to go to your team even though you've won jack crap. When was your last cup win again? Oh wait, you don't have one, that's right. At least Leaf fans can say their club HAS a history and tradition behind them being an original 6 team and such. You guys have NOTHING. And in trading away Luongo its only going to get WORSE.
If you still think players have no interest in coming to Edmonton, maybe you should take a read at this link. It's likely a player agent knows more than you EVER WILL.
http://oilers.nhl.com/clu...460&navid=DL%7CEDM%7Chome
Regardless of whether Justin comes to Edmonton or not isn't the point. Personally, how a kid with zero NHL games to his name is controlling this situation is rather disgraceful in my mind. Reminds me of Eric Lindros all over again, hes just not the first overall pick. I don't know if I'd want that type of an attitude in my team's lockerroom and what will the viewpoints on the rest of the players on whatever team that gets him be. Spoiled, rotten, little brat would be my thoughts.
But this constant drivel about players not wanting to come to Edmonton anymore needs to stop because clearly as the link I provided above shows, it's not true anymore.. and nor should it be. There are no other teams in the Western Conference that can boast a young forward group like the Oil have with Ebs, Hall, RNH, and Yaks. I'll take those four over the Sedin Sisters, whine and cry Burrows and dirty Kesler any day. The only team out east to rival this would be Philly and Pittsburgh.
Flap yer lips all you want, you'll be eating crow when this Oilers team is back on top again in another year or two. And oh, btw, if you do your research, we tend NOT TO blow opportunities when we finish first overall. Just sayin. - Oilers4ever2012

Yeah tlinden16 (who seems to have some insider knowledge) mentioned that yesterday. It would make sense if his family still lives in Kelowna (3.5 hr drive). If he's from there and his family has since moved to Van, that's different of course. |

It was sounding like that for past day or so. Seems like the Gretzky/Coffey calls held some serious weight. |

You have the cap space to sign Garrison. You have more then enough future. You need a reliable goaltender right now named Luongo, with a good cap hit. 29 million in cap space. Look how bad Florida has been for years until last year where you went out and spent some money. Why not give up 2 players and get a piece that you need now. - manvanfan
Because in 4 years when Luongo is retired, where will be be? I'm not saying it won't happen, but I would be SHOCKED if you got Bugs. |
