The canucks first signing should be Torrey Mitchell for 3rd line center. I am just guessing here but 2 mill should get him.
Also would canucks or jackets do this.

Raymond, Ballard and 3rd for Dorset and Nikitin. I see a slightly more physical Ehrhoff in nikitin

My guess is Canucks go after a top 4 D (Garrison) May try to land Parenteau for top 6 and a tough guy.

Gaunce will be a 3 rd line center the following year so I see them keeping Lapierre there at 3 rd line this year. We need a second liner.

They just signed Nikitin, why would they then trade him?

No surprise but J. Gustavsson going to market. Didn't feel Winnipeg was a fit for him

Sorry Ian,but where did schultz sign again??? An for how much did he sign for???
How much did Garrison rob gillis for again?? Rumour had it that radulov was offered $10 million per year by the canucks but he chose less money to play in the KHL...Talk about UFA's avoiding vancouver like the plague, even hometown boy Schultz didnt want to go there...thats right he chose edmonton!!!How does foot in mouth taste??

In addition schultz called all the other teams including your canucks to say sorry not coming there,he actually said he never demanded top minutes and said if he has to go to the AHL hes fine with that...seems your organization led by gillis and the vancouver media spun it their way saying schultz demanded top minutes and thats why he didnt sign there...perception is everything just like how garrison took a so called discount...ah ya sure he did and the 6 year deal was originally 10 years but he felt 6 was more of a discount...see how easy it is to spin things your way...

Oh yeah, making things up makes what you say very credible indeed. Gillis would never take on a player like Radulov -- let alone at $10 million per season. Gillis got Garrison for less than he was asking. He didn't get Schultz true, but Schultz could be a bust like 'the monster' or Brunnstrom. Getting Schultz doesn't really show that Edmonton can attract free agents -- it'll take more than that. As for your comment on UFAs avoiding Vancouver: you're getting delusional -- at best. In other words: get real.

In addition, Schultz was supposedly 'demanding' guaranteed playing time and Gillis would never do that. Nothing to do with "UFAs avoiding Vancouver" -- obviously: to anyone with even a little brainpower.
