Dude.
Toews, kane, hossa, sharp, keith, seabrook and suter.
Are u kidding? - hugefemale dog77
Let me get this straight. The team that looked really ordinary for large stretches of last season and got bumped out of the 1st rd will suddenly turn into a "contender" because they acquire Suter?
Are we having a serious hockey conversation or have you been out of the playoffs for that long? Ask the CHI faithful what they think of their Stanley Cup chances if they acquired Suter only. |

They also had a very dominant stretch last year. Ebs and flows
If ud like to have a serious hockey conversation, im game. But lets not just use insults as our ammo...k?
it sounds like u didnt watch much of the series they got bumped out in.
Smith was all world in said series. Chicago outplayed them BRUTALLY every game save 1.
Game 6 was ridiculous.
And as i said, crawford was very average. He'd need to return to a form that we've seen previously.
Add to that core group a healthy bolland, stalberg, frolik and shaw, along with ryan suter.
Id say absolutely elite.
I cant see any other way around it.
U guys got bumped in the first round remember? |

I agree on your assessment of the playoffs but last season showed too many holes in the CHI lineup to be considered serious contenders. Apart from the playoff series against VAN, I haven't seen Crawford to be much more than 1B goalie at best. Unless something radical happens (like CHI changing to a trap team) I don't see his numbers improving or CHI being able to reach higher than a 5th seeding.
I remember Suter in the series against VAN. He (with Weber) couldn't effectively contain either the Sedin nor the Kesler line. The two excel as a unit, separately we'll have to see. One thing for sure, he's not a dominant beast like Chara.
Your assessment of what Suter brings is a bit different from mine and what I feel the impact of 1 Dman can bring to a team. CHI need several pieces to reach anywhere close to where they were when they won the cup. Suter would be a great start, but it wouldn't be enough on its own. |

I think it comes down to how good i think suter is.
Hes a positionally sound, stick first, cerebral defender... Thats also a great skater, and a good first passer.
Not an offensive dynamo but very adequate. A true two way defender.
In alot of ways i actually think hes better than weber. Not near the flash or the highlight reel hits/shot, but much more dependable defensively.
Imo, it gives the hawks 2 number 1's and a 1b on the backend. Impressive to say the least. Leddy and hjalmarsson aint brutal either.
I agree alot comes down to crawford and i said this.
But as u said, we have seen him play well.
What if they got luongo?

If they got both Luongo and Suter, well, we'd be having a whole separate discussion. |

We'd never trade Luongo to them unless they offered us minimum Kane, Seabrook and a couple of picks. After all the bad blood I can't see us doing a hated rival a favor by upgrading their goaltending for them without forcing them to cripple themselves in other places. |

The city of Chengdu was fun, but the facility (gas plant site) is in some poophole town and it's not been pleasant. Good thing they pay me a lot of money haha!!! - LeftCoaster
go to Suzhou if you can. I was stuck in a small industrial area for abit and it was a fun experience to visit.
Big lake. A huge strip of bars that cater to foreigners, and its pretty hilarious to go into a german beer pub and see little asian girls in Lederhosen singing |

The less he says the fewer things for us to throw back in his face. It will be like any other July 1st. The site will barely function and he will be late trying to throw every BobMac update up as an "E5" |

Good work sir. I'll probably miss a lot of breaking news as I'll be out on Commercial for the big game tomorrow. I feel they're gonna do it man, I really do. |

It does feel like that doesn't it. And if you chirp him about it he'll say this isn't a breaking news site, it's a rumor site. Well, 24 hours out, give me some rumors. |

Like I've said before, most of the rumors he puts up he gets from texts, emails and BBMs from his best friend's cousin's brother's nanny's daughter who's a puck bunny for Pronger. |

I'm meeting some buddies at Toby's around 10 then we'll take it from there. Do you know where is good to watch (not just atmosphere but also for viewing)? I heard about Cafe Abruzzo and Cafe Roma but they looked a bit small. |

Roma is big, but it's kinda the epicenter and will be packed, but everything will I guess. I'm going to my cousin's cafe, Giancarlo's between 2nd and 3rd. Plan on being there by 945, I asked the wiener to save me a table, wouldn't respond to my text.
Should be (frank)ing awesome, I really really really hope we pull this out, would be massive! |

Lost on penalties... I don't mind games being decided in the round robin via penalties, but once you get into the knockout rounds it should be always golden goal after full-time. |

what are you talking about? In the series against Nashville the sedins were very well controlled. They won that round because of kesler (That's right fosco, I said kesler did something right).
Suter is a great complementary shut down player to go with a more offensive D (like elder in your case...even Jbo). Adding him to keith/seabrook/hjamarlson would be a very stingy D to play against. |

Thats how I remember it. It was the only series that the Sedins were shut down that year yet they were tagged for it... on the other hand it was Keslers only productive series yet he built a rep as a playoff warrior for it...
