If I report a Ref for a good reason will a ref ban a ref, has that even happened before? ( The more you know) - pker2theend
Mods have no authority over other mods. It would have to go up to administration. Very likely they side with the mod or warn them at worst. Unless you got death threats or something, I'd say you probably won't get a ton of sympathy. Mods get harsh abuse all the time. |

He is gonna have a paralyzing cap hit. I say 8.5 mill - Bieksa#3
Parise? I'd say around 7mil, maybe 7.5. Suter probably get around 6.5-7 mil as well. I remember I posted here at the beginning of the season that Suter could make around 6.5 mil per season as a UFA and a couple of people thought I was crazy. |

Wow. $3.25m for Gaustad. That's crazy. Career highs of 12 goals and 36 points. 5 fights last year. - micah555
Paul Gaustad has 1 goal in 48 playoff games. |

These numbers look about right. Parise at 8.5 would be Crosby territory and he's not that good. On a longer term I think Parise could even end up at a 6m cap hit, as could Suter.
Interestingly enough, apart from the vague "he wants to play close to home" comments (worked out real well for us with Shultz), I haven't heard anything remotely concrete yet where either of these 2 guys would be aiming to go. I doubt we'd be in the running but it might be interesting. |

When you've got a face like this, endorsements just stream in regardless of where you play.

I'm sorry but if you're getting over 3 million a year, you need more than 1 goal in 48 playoff games. |

What role? Sure he's big and physical and can win some faceoffs, but he's not known a shutdown forward or an offensive player or a playoff performer. Gunnar Staal described it best, he's too good for the 4th line but he isn't a really good 3rd liner. Very similar to Malhotra, except bigger. That's an overpayment and Poile had to agree to it after giving up a first for him which was ridiculous in the first place.
I agree on Jokinen, some team will offer him 5mil+ over 3 or 4 years. |

I think Suter will take a step back without Weber and he'll be "the guy" wherever he signs and asked to do more with lesser D partner so I think it would be a mistake giving him over 6 mil per year. Parise is in his prime, a top line forward, a leader and a clutch player. That's the kind of guy you don't mind throwing 7 mil per at and I'm sure a few teams will.
I'm hoping MG makes an offer to Doan since he's more realistic, he's basically the exact forward we are missing and I don't think scoring would be a problem if you have Henrik, Daniel, Kesler, Doan, Burrows, Booth, Higgins, Hansen, etc on your team. |

That's what we've been saying for the past year (minus Doan). We'd need more but Doan is a good start. |

Ya the 1st for gaustad was a steal for buffalo. They're looking strong in a couple years because of that trade. Perfect timing for Roy's contract to finish. I'd take Gaustad over Malhotra though, for the size alone.
ya I was thinking 4.5 fro joiknen. Thank gawd calgary left that alone |

I don't think we'd need more than Doan up front(I don't see a 3rd line center in FA that I like). Doan and Garrison would be perfect additions, but that can only work under the cap if Ballard and Luongo are traded because we're going to have to extend Burrows and Edler next year. |

I think everyone would take Guastad over him, but not when you factor in their contracts, both are overpaid though. If I'm paying any forward 3 mil+ it has to be a guy who can score 20 goals and Gaustad isn't even a 15 goal scorer. |

If Crosby hit the open market all the guys on ten said there would have been at least 20 teams offer the Max. |

I still think we're missing a playmaker for that 2nd line. I don't think the Kesler-Booth experiment worked out and in many games it seemed like Henrik was the only one who could create something with possession, as opposed to an open ice drive or a dump and chase chance. |

Our second line definitely needs a make over, I'm confident Gillis will address this at some point this summer. |

You're starting to get really f*cking tiresome. Take that tampon out of your vag and be a fan. I understand being a realist and not wearing rose coloured glasses but all you do is complain about a team who's won two consecutive presidents trophies and went to a cup final. - Boinker
Whats tiresome is your instant hard on for prospects that turns to hate in the blink of an eye. Watching you swing your wood uncontrolably contantly over any kind of potential prospect and jump down peoples throats who don't share your same obsessions is totally juvenile. One day we say the same thing about a player and the next day you are calling me names because my opinions of the player stayed the same...
You are just a hypocrite. You tag one prospect as a traitor because of rumours while you support another one who openly walked away from the team who drafted him and on top of that ignoring his demand for ice time until the very minute he becomes an Oiler then it's all judgmental. No I don't have rose colored glasses but you take rose colored glasses to a whole new meaning kid. Take your Ritalin and shut up.

The city of Chengdu was fun, but the facility (gas plant site) is in some poophole town and it's not been pleasant. Good thing they pay me a lot of money haha!!! |

Yes, for certain locations (Calgary, for instance) the money on the table makes the work a lot more "attractive." I've never been to China but have been to Japan, which was very interesting. I enjoyed that trip. |
