I'd take this wishlist in a second. It's almost that time. I get the sense the Isles will get someone on day 1.
- ses111

Maybe I'm gullible, but I agree with you. For the first time in a couple of years I think we could get someone "big." "Big" for us, at least.

It's a wonder what having Tavares has been. He's the biggest reason anyone would want to play here, imo.

My wishlist: Hudler, Allen, Prust.

If we get Semin or Kostitsyn, I obviously wouldn't be upset. If we re-sign PaP, I wouldn't be upset. I'm not holding my breath on either of those, though.

If we sign the first 3 players I named, I'd be ecstatic.

Hudler will be this years Ville Leino. Someone will pay big and regret it big.

PaP is already my front runner for that moniker.

Hudler is a much more consistent player and is still in his 20s. A little undersized, but he hits 20 goals and 50 points pretty regularly. I think he'd fit perfect.

Jordan Staal agrees to terms with CAR. 10 years, $60M. Done.

Wow, what a pu**y. I want to be with my brother so he can hold my hand while I suck my thumb.

I did not like that Snow mentioned the building again in the NY Post story. Snow has to forget that excuse already. The building issue hurts it just will not help when you keep brining it up. He has to talk up the young talent. JT you would think should be able to help in attracting some FA's.

I don't like it either, but it's unfortunately the truth. Especially the closer to '15 you get. Guys want to know where they're going to live (i.e. families, houses, etc.). That's why the 1 to 3 year contract type players are the only ones we'll even get on the phone.

Of the d-men:

-Hannan is finshed…no thanks
-Suter (and to a slightly lesser extent, Matt Carle) would be wonderful, but they likely can’t swim in the "overpay a guy who doesn't really want to come here" pool until they get a building. These are called facts.
-Rozsival intrigues me a bit, but they have some in his category already. The desperate need is for more of the physical type than what he brings to the table, IMO.
-Colaiacovo…again, see Rozsival. Nice, but unnecessary.
-Allen….this is more what they need…and the price might be reasonable
-Zanon….I also like this player, as well..but not as much as Allen
-Garrison/Salvador….another two I really like….whether or not they can afford to break the bank for them is another matter
-Eminger/Carkner….see Hannan
-Kuba….see Rozsival
-Finger/Commodore/Brett Clark…..might as well just resign Eaton and Jurcina

Going through the list, I agree- Allen should be the target. I also have always liked Colin White…IF he can still play….which is doubtful, unfortunately.

As for forwards, Prust would be a solid pick up, provided the money doesn't get too silly. Also, much as he'd cost, the thought of Semin on a line with Tavares is a happy one.....what makes this more possible than guys like Suter and Carle, IMO, is that Russians tend to dig NY, so they probably wouldn't have to pay $2M per more than anyone else to get him to come here.....that said, do they truly have the money for what would amount to the going rate? Kostitsyn, for the right price, would be a nice pickup, as well, although he does tend to dog it here and there- not as excited about this prospect, myself. Hudler is also intriguing (unlike Jokinen, IMO)....but I don't think center is high on their list of priorities. In the end, I don't think offense is going to be their problem, going forward- defense and toughness are more in line with their REAL needs.

I wouldn't mind Semin. I know a lot diagree but I see it being a good fit and the guy might take a second chance and run with it. Prust would be awesome. Well boys(girls?)here we go. Say a prayer we get something positive to at least give us that can't wait for the season feeling(been a while). I'll be in and out checking in between pool dunkings and beer. Please forgive any sudden outburst(You should all be accustomed to these by now anyway)due to me probably being drunk by two

Prust would be awesome but for 2 mill + you better add some type of offense. I would take Semin for the right price no long term deal. I'm anxious to get things started.
