Islanders had plenty of time to get their ducks in a row. I hope this not the start of the excuses. If Wang wants to win show us this offseason. |

Agreed...but he's a center. If he pilots line two, that means you have to put Bailey on the wing, and where do you put Strome next year, if he's ready? Garrison is another guy I forgot about....that would be a decent pickup, but I think teams are going to jack his price up too high...if they want to spend stupid money, they can just sign Parenteau for $5M a year. - dcb1
Olli could play the 2nd line centre.
Bailey can play the wing.
Nielsen can be 3rd line centre.
Strome might be better suited for the wing too... I don't think we need to worry about Strome for a bit.

Hudler or Jokinen are the best options for a much needed second line center. Prust and Winnik are the best fourth line centers available |

Think Bailey played better on wing didn't he with nielson and ko. If PA had 33 of his 67 points with JT, and I love JT, then what will he do with a Malkin or Stamkos etc. Bottom line is I don't want him gone...after what we will see Garth sign.... some ''project'' we will all be saying ...why didn't he just give that money to PA, we knew what he was capable of''. Allen ,Garrison or Carle I like on D and Oli could be good, but not a real fan....Kostitsyn and Hudler for sure I could see come in.
Its good to see after all these years Garth finally has us all trained (including myself) to not aim too high...lol...yeah Parise, Suter, Doan, Nash and on and on would be golden....but just not expected any more. |

I can also see a trade for Hjalmarsson if Suter ends up in Chicago.
He would fit in nice as a 3-4 defenceman. |

PA is making a mistake leaving Tavares, and Moulson.
Kasper can play with Tavares and score 20 goals.... - jimmc7722
Probably so but still has nothing to do with snow dropping the ball. |

It's not like the playoffs got in the way. They had months to plan out exactly who they want this offseason and they should know by now which prospects they are willing to move. Maybe planning all the events for former players has gotten in the way of the planning? - ses111

If only good ones wanted to play on an excuse of a team, then you'd hit the jackpot - leopurcaro
Wow, you're up early....air conditioning too cold in the basement?
Actually, they'd "Literally" rather hit the jackpot and be overpaid by your drunken sailors-of-a-front-office.
Brad Richards gets $12Million in salary (not cap hit) this coming season in case you wonder why your ticket prices went up again.
That averages out to about $200,000 per point for his (projected) mediocre 60 point effort.
Happy trolling....did mom put the blue berrys in your pancakes this morning? Yum...

As soon as these old guys sign with the Isles their career is over. |

Bryan Allen would fit this team nicely - scatch38
With our luck, they'd sign BYron Allen to replace Howie Rose in the booth. |

You may still see him come back.
Maybe he wants to see what other teams will offer him, and ask the Isles to match.
The only thing with trading him away... then you can't try and negotiate a contract up until free agency.
But yea.... could have probably got a second rounder for him.
If somebody offered a first rounder, and Garth didn't take it. |

Not a lock that PA will play on the top line if he bolts. Probably unlikely with most teams, unless they trade/lose a player. |

B. Allen should be a must sign, young enough to stay a while an teach an be a part of the future..
Ollie would be a good 2nd line center for now, plus adds another proven veteran to this team
Nabokov needs to use his russian influence an try to convince Semin 1st, or AK47 2nd, to come here and play wing w/Tavares
I feel all the kids should be together in Bridgeport gelling, instead up w/the big club. with injuries thru the year, the kids will have thier chance.
for added toughness, like Winnick, Burish, Carkner to be added, maybe Parros?

Peter Mueller would be a realistic replacement of PA and Daniel Winnik would be a great addition to a team like this - scatch38
Mueller is a physical wreck. Hes a calamity. They can't sign guys that can't stay healthy. |

I would not bring him in. Isles have enough injury drama. |
