Still would like to sign another defenceman.... but only Carle left.

Top 6 forward to help them out would be great.

You can never have too much talent.

There's a first time for everything!

Seriously, I like what he did today. Not great but so far SO GOOD. There is still time and there are some players to be had that will really improve this team.

I'm still high on Bobby Ryan. I really think we can make it happen if we want to .

Hopefully Parise and Suter get signed early tomorrow and that free's up trades. D is improved. Goal scoring is weaker. I would have liked a tougher forward to play every game to help Martin as I doubt Bolten will play every game.

Snow will look like a genius when PA only gets 40 points next year.

I didnt even know what a Raspberry whatever even was. My daughter told me.

My son made a surprise visit today from DC. Brought me a variety of Crafted Mico Brews.

Tried an Amber Ale that was Brewed in Pennsylvania. No bad.

Tried one brewed in Hawaii. Tasted like shark piss. Asked my son what that hideous flavor was. He laughs and tells me Passion Fruit!

Then I tried a Belgium White. I've had Blue Moon ONCE! That was enough.

This one was just as bad. Tasted like Celery Seeds. Damn for a country that drinks the most beer per capita they cant make beer for Shat!

But you my friend. Drink what ever floats your boat. Enjoy. Today was a pretty good day for us.

Did he have a decent trade in place?

What was the offer?

Garrison to the Canucks on a terribly risky deal. If he's a one year wonder they are screwed and still have to unload luongo and ballards horrible contracts. Yikes.

I'm not sure how hockey can afford these salaries? Labor talks will be interesting.

He still got the points on JT's line and off. Even if all the points were on JT's line he still had to work for them. He did not just stand around and do nothing.

I'm sure Snow would have gotten at least a second rounder and than some... Snow and company just didn't want to admit defeat to keep the fans coming. Looks good on them. Than there's the Penguins, knew Staal wasn't going to sign and got something for him.

Take some notes Garth!

Arthur Staple ‏@StapeNewsday

#Isles are still in on Salvador, who will likely make his decision on his array of offers on Monday. #Isles have cooled on A. Semin.

Another dman? Unless DeHaan or Donovan going in a trade for Ryan or someone else. With all the dmen in the system now I would not have a problem with it.

That is FACT... im so sick of hearing how it was only because of JT that PAP played well. Its just not true.

You are naming two players for "giant" upgrades over three. We need one more there . Though I see your point, in other words he needs to do more and NO ONE should be satisified thus far. Come on Snow
- Cptmjl

Not satisfied in the least, just saying that both guys bring something we lacked. More scoring from the defense, voice in locker room in visnovsky and toughness, stay at home guy in carkner.

Isles were 28th in goals last year, as of now they are worse. Staple says we have cooled off on semin but still in on Salvador.

No way to defend Snow on this one. Isles were never in a playoff race and with a team like the Isles you cannot risk losing a guy like PA for nothing. They should have moved Eaton and Radek Jurcina for anything as well. Garth will hopefully make it up this offseason. Hopefully tomorrow brings bigger moves.

He wont.

But I'm glad we got him. What puzzles me is, why did we allow Gillies, Konopka and Haley to walk and then fill their spot with a Free Agent? I dont get it.

Like I said, I'm happy we have another tough forward to backup Martin but we did have several on our team and in our organization to begin with.

I'm going to chime in,

I think PAP is a good talent (50-60 pt/year) player but I think he's the kind of player that just feeds off the players around him as apposed to leading an offense. In saying that, I don't think he surpasses 50 points in Colorado. He doesn't have the linemates to help him. He'll be looked upon more as an offense generator where he's the opposite.

I could care less if he got points on JT's line or Elmo's line he put up points. He did his job well.

Salvador would be a great addition.......hope he signs on. Anyone else think Garth isnt done? Love to finally see a trade.

Boyes is the typical Snow move. Cheap talent with upside. Hope he plays like he did in St Louis, but hard to not feel like we've all seen this movie before.

If pap gets 55 points next year which he will it will be a good move for Colorado. Is he overpaid? A little maybe but who gives a crap. Does a slightly bad contract hurt us at this point? We are 25$ mill under the cap. Rather slightly over pay for a guy that actually produces !

Anything is better then nothing. Even a 2nd rd pick would have been better then NOTHING!! Its not like they were fighting for a playoff spot. No way to defend it. Not even the ones who bathe in Kool Aid can defend it

It's just crazy. We had the talent already and let it go. Could have been one less thing to worry about. No telling when Wang gets tired of the new toughness and we are in the same boat again.
