I would include him since they have Nelson. Nelson should be able to play 2nd line center. I would like to think Boyes was signed in case they need to move other pieces for Ryan or another impact guy. I'm not holding my breath though.

I also get the sense the Isles are pretty much done. The moves are better than last year but that's not saying much. Losing PA for nothing is huge. Isles still not going far enough to improve.

Defence is better..tougher team...now go get that scorer....Didn't I hear Marleau was tradeable...might not be a terrible pick up eh...Ryan would be golden.

my two cents... i like boyes and if he rebounds 50 points is not out of the question. i feel like the defense is improved and the team is tougher. its up to okposo bialey and grabner...if they are 50-60 point players the team is much better. i like pa however i would have not commited to him for 4 years. i just think he is jason blake 2.0

Sounds good to me. If the Isles do not bring in an impact forward I do not want Boyes on that 1st line. Isles need some grit on that line. Hopefully KO can provide that this year if he is the guy on the 1st line.

Replaced PAP, Eaton and Jurcina with Visnovsky, Boyes and Carkner (so far). Not terrible at all. "D" clearly better. If boyes bounces back, he might be serviceable. Boulton a decent depth pick up. Letting PAP leave for 4 years at $4M per is a mistake.

Absolutley agree . Very, very, very, bad. Like this rain ruining my day(temporarily)

After the last couple of years today's moves were like blockbusters. Snow making moves on day 1 is huge. Finally understood FA starts 7/1.

NY Post said he was looking for a #5 defenseman (Carkner) and the 6th defenseman will be between deHaan, Donovan or Katic...Landry takes Reese' spot as the 6/7...

I loathe the boyes move. If he plays on the bottom 6 I'm cool with it but he is rolston part two.

Need a number 2 center and a top 3 forward. Letting p.a. Walk is a huge mistake. That contract isn't that crazy he got especially when we have four miles to go to get to cap floor. Staple tweeted 2 weeks ago that isles offered p.a. Less than 3 mill per year
