Pure brilliance on the part of the oilers brass.Getting someone like Gretzky and Coffey to help with the cause is brilliant whether it works or not. It also shows that once your an oiler your always an oiler.

You know what is funny about this? Unless you live in Vancouver's Westside or West Vancouver (which I bet most posters do not), you are "bridge and tunnel" and live in a surbubia that is exactly on par with the Edmonton and Calgary experience.
People who live in any Ladner, Richmond, Delta, Coquitlam, Poco, whiterock, north van, new west, surrey, abbotsford, mission, etc. calling out Edmonton is rich (not in the monetary sense) and is akin to pot, kettle and black.

Well if he isn't it is only a 2 year deal.
Can't really hurt if you play a bad Schultz or a Potter/ Peckham or Sutton.
If he is as good as the hype then bonus.

I did not want Heatley but Lowe and Tambo's trip to see Heatley didn't work to well.
