Scary in the sense that a guy who could barely hold his own on the fourth line is now the 3rd line centre. Also that Horcoff is the only legit defensive forward in lineup. That's a lottery lineup. I don't get the obssession with prospects on this site and others. - Jack-artist
imo PRV might get a chance... but most likely harti prv and lander to start next year in the ahl |

lander isn't ahl ready... you have him a head of horc. Yaks will play on the right side. also way too soft. - Killbot460
How is Lander not AHL ready when he played in Edmonton for 56 games? |

One of Paajarvi or Hartikaninen probably will get a spot but I'd rather sign or trade for a few veteran two-way forwards to let those guys develop in the AHL. Lander was in over his head and that's not uncommon, but they sent him down way too late. |

Pfffhhht.
"Hi, I'm the Great One, calling you to go to Edmonton. No, I have not lived there for, I don't know, ever. Paul Coffey? No, he does not live there either. Whats that? Yes, it is cold and bleak as hell in the winter"
Hand covers phone...
"Kevin, he's asking when Trevor Linden is going to call, what should I say?"
Like a lifelong Canuck fan, one his coach says gets "visibly upset when they lose " would be pushed over the edge to sign there instead of the city ranked Top 5 in the World as a place to live since before Gretz' was born.
Sorry guys. Sounding a little desperate now.... - vancitydan
Actually you're sounding desperate. During the season it doesn't matter where you live because time is consumed by hockey. In the off season they can live where they want.
You may be enamoured with the recent regular season success of the Canucks but they don't offer much in the way of tradition and history unless you count losing.
The Oilers have the potential to be a very good team going forward with a strong nucleus of talent
As for Vancouver being ranked top five in the world, that's a recent occurrence and different things carry different levels of importance to different people. Personally I couldn't wait to move from Vancouver. Great place to visit but certainly a place I didn't like living.

I never said anything about TO, or compared, just that Edmonchuck is no free agent hot bed. poop before the lockout the oilers future was suspect and could not attract talent vis FA, so dont try to say different or twist it. - iMan27

I would take both. We need those type of players in the worst way. |
