Cap is not the issue for the Lou - getting permission to spend $ is the issue. You're crazy if you don't think the bankers aren't ok'ing every cheque. - Canada Cup
either way though, they still have to get to the floor, why not use it one the franchise goalie and parise? |

Well, if DelZotto + goes back the other way, our top 4 becomes Staal-Yandle an McDonagh-Girardi, with Erixon/Eminger/Stralman filling out the bottom 5-7 spots.
What you guys think it'll take for the Rangers to get Yandle? DZ, Dubi? - Moshe52792
Dubinsky, Erixon, and a 2nd rounder next year.

I already knew the Devils were interested in Bernier at the deadline.
It was suggested Bernier be packaged for Parise during that time, obviously it didnt happen and ended up favoring both teams in the end by both of them reaching the SCF.
Can you imagine if Parise leaves for nothing and the Devils end up getting Bernier? - LA_Kings6720
In a perfect world Parise would most likely return home to Minnesota and play for the Wild, The Devils getting Bernier would be a plus to the Devils considering if the lose Hedberg and Brodeur |

I wouldn't want J BO even if the flames took Shelley, Walker AND Prongers contracts. |

Bernier is a great aquisition for NJ no doubt. I was pointing out the fact they could have already had him
But Minnesota is a perfect place for Parise. The Eklund perposal of Langs and Parise may not be so farfetched |

If I'm LA and trading Bernier to Toronto I'm starting with Ashton or high picks. Toronto mentions MacArthur and i'd tell them good luck with Reimapotimus and Loogie. - Glak18
Sure, Bernier for Ashton is reasonable, neither of them have really done anything, sounds fair |

Hey Ek, thank you for leaving the Sabres out of your gueses. Whenever you mention them, it has Never been correct, so i like it better when you do not mention them so we can dream our dreams without you guessing about what will not come true, and raining on our pre-free agency fun. |

As a 4-5th D-man and making 3.5M and under. I know he has played on bad teams, but as a 28 year old he should be way better by now. His positioning is off the charts retarded. |

I can see that being a factor for Marty, but Parise is going to require a long-term financial commitment. |

yes he played alot during the cup playoff run - LeafsOwnHabs
maybe he's been giving Quick some tips...point is, he's supposed to pan out to be a very good goaltender in the future but they're going to have a Luongo/Schneider situation in LA soon if they dont take care of it, at one point Berniers going to fully prove he wants the #1 role, and with Quicks new contract, he'll be a king for life basically...so they will have to trade Bernier, and given Berniers potential and age and contract, I'd say he's a safer player to take than Luongo if I were Burke... |

Agreed. Money is reasonable on both sides and in a year the leafs sign him for 3.5-4M as the goalie for the future. |

Yeah I see what you're getting at and in your opinion with all of this Brodeur controversy going around, as a kings fan as I suppose you are, would you mind seeing a veteran like Brodeur get in net for the Kings? |

There would be a lot more serious interest if not for that contract. |

This is the truth. Id rather talk with Chi. I think they could offer a better package then Tor anyways. A Saad package would be great. Nobody wants MacArthur. Esp the Kings. |

devils only have i believe 4 forwards signed after this season (kovy, gionta, carter, bernier) and alot of money is coming off the books, they are going to have to pay someone somewhere |
