Yep it was a classic series that you could put up against any first round in the history of the game and it would stand up. It had literally everything. You just dont see hockey like that anymore.... When you watch it how many times even in one shift do you call like 5 hooking penalties hahaa |

Random thought: Every year my friends and I (they are huge new york Jets fans) travel to an away game. Last new years we went to Miami for the week 17 jets dolphins games. This year we were looking at destinations and we could only really goto the buff bills game. We werent excited about buffalo but i said lets spend new years in toronto. the place sounds great. THEN we found out the bills play a game in toronto. I told my friends i wanna take in a Leafs game for the intensity. You should meet up with us and show us some fun party sites around the city. Im very excited. |

Clearly i said hes the next coming of jesus...
Its all good im a Leafs fan, i can handle whiny nonsense like this.
Regardless of what you want, Carlyle is the coach. I think he was a great choice, and an obvious one with his history with Burke.. Your complaining doesnt do anything. The roster also will have more Carlyle type players before the season starts anyways. Anyways, argument is moot. Carlyle is coach. Like it, and then learn to love it... - Leafsrulesens
Wow, tell a fan how his opinion should go, and call him whiny for disagreeing. You sit, are a gem.. Probably from the same ignorant breed that whined about Wilson before telling people not to whine.
Either way man, cram it. The love for Carlyle is nothing short of the blind degenerate optimism that leaf fan get pegged for. Oh god, he won a cup 5 years ago with a far superior team, he should be worshiped. Your argument is baseless. He does things differently that Wilson, wow.
Talk down to someone who cares bro. I imagine you think this is the year for the leafs, hey... |

Doan will NEVER sign with LA.. Look at the "handshake" he gave Brown. That alone tells you how Doan feels about LA. |

So let me get your little rumor chart straight. The Avalanche are only looking at Hannan a defenseman, Ellis a goalie, and Kostitsyn a forward with a s hitty attitue....
The team has 7 NHL caliber defensemen with 3 in the minors who could easily take any extra defensive spots for the big club in Gaunce, Elliott, and Barrie making Hannan completely useless.
With Varly and Guiguere at goalie and 4 goalies who were signed to an entry level contract THIS YEAR to fill both AHL and CHL roster spots, there is absolutely no reason to sign an inconsistent backup goaltender.
The only place this team needs any free agent help is forward. According to the rumor chart they are looking at Kostitsyn for that kind of help however this team is know for looking at attributes like hard work and competitiveness when looking at players. This would eliminate a player with an attitude like Kostitsyn.
From the point of view of an Avs fan, your chart is complete bulls hit. Look at some of their needs before you pull a list out of your ass. At the very least, a team with 6 goalies under contract will not be looking to sign a backup goaltender.

Bernier is not the answer for the Leafs.
They need vetren goalie. Reimer was on top of his game before ginota hit him in the head. MAybe he bounces back. |

Bernier still unproven, sign a vet back-up with 10 years experience, costs us nothing but money which we have lots. Enough of this Marty/Bobby Lu BS |

Would jokinen make sense for the leafs? Maybe a 2year contract.
Penner could be an option for the flyers too. |

Eklund: Rumors Heating Up>Bernier to Toronto?, Nash to Det? Yandle to NYR? MORE - Eklund
@Eklund: hearing if Parise goes free agent there’ll be another Newport Dog and Pony Sham on July 1 for Suiters!?!? Please Z! You’re better than this!
Let me get this straight, certain people can stay up to wee hours of the morning chasing trade rumors and at times keeping customers waiting... But Parise is about to make a lifetime decision and can't interview a few teams? |
|
|
|
So at what time tomorrow is it announced, Schultz signs with Edm, Broduer and Parise with New Jersey and Doan back with Phoenix? |

Re: your surprise the Sens have not locked up Kuba
Sens mgmt make it clear weeks ago that Kuba's $$$ demands are too high and Sens are not interested at that price. They said he'll get the money, but he'll get it elsewhere.
Sens have also made it clear they are hunting for a new top four D.
You must pay more attn to Ottawa, ek. - rhume55
Agreed. Being a Leafs fan in Ottawa, even I notice how Sens are paid lip service most times.
Kuba is gone. |

Word is, just as Oilers had Gretzky call Schultz, Ducks tried to get Niedermayer to talk to him. Schultz wouldn't take his calls.

As soon as Milt Schmidt wakes up from his nap he's going to send Schultz a telegram on behalf of the Bruins. |
