I think everyone should just calm down and really think about this. If Marty wants to leave a franchise that he has been so loyal to his whole life then he has to have a good reason to. He has said countless times the devils are what he is and would really have to think if he would want to lay somewhere else. And now rumors that hes playing in Tampa... i was listening to NHL live the other day and it had Tampa's GM on there and they asked about their goal tending and whether or not they would bring back Roloson and they said most likely not cause they have Garon for another year and played well considering he was asked to play more than expected. This is all media BS that people are doing to stir stuff up. Of all these rumors that come out how many of them are usually true and happen?
Zach go ahead test the market do what you want. Lou did a similar act with Kovalchuk, he made an offer and let him look at the other offers, the offer was on the table for him to come back to.
A lot of good signings today the 4th lines back and Harrold so could that mean Salvador is gone?
Im sure the devils are the only team to ever have financial issues.

i think the financial issues are such a big deal is because you really don't hear about the devils in mainstream media and it is spoken about a decent amount. plus with marty and parise UFA's and what kovy is owed in hard dollars for the next few years it could make it tough to bring them back. yes they have to hit the floor but who is to say they are going to go well above. depending on how their financial situation is after the finals they may just do what they can to get by and make the cap floor until everything is resolved. it is tough for parise and marty, who it seems money is more of an issue than most believed it would be. think of it this way, would you sign a contract with a company to work for them if you didnt know if they would be able to pay you all that was owed to you every year?
