I don't know what the Devils could possibly give up. Theydont have a whole lot to offer. Maybe Greene, Tallinder, and Volchenkov plus a guy like Tedenby. Don't know if that would be enticing to theHawks.

Hey EK!! Been trying to have some kind of summer. Not running two accounts--I can barely handle one!

Feels more and more to me like there is no real plan beyond getting Suter. None of us will hear anything about that until late Saturday or Sunday.

Sadly, I'm preparing for "we like our team".

You know what? After watching CC all year, if someone wants him and we can get Bernier, I don't care who wants him or what they have to send back. Bernier has to be an improvement.

I think the Hawks would like any of those three defensemen, especially Tallinder or Volch, and especially if they deal Hammer but don't get Suter.

i wouldn't trade foligno straigt up, that's a MASSIVE overpayment by ottawa

A lot of people were thinking of something like Hammer and Stalberg for Smith and Foligno. Add picks or prospects to even it out

Anybody else get the feeling that this whole FA thing is like musical chairs? If the music stops and you're a GM that doesn't have a seat lined up, you are F'd. When a few of the big name guys go, it's going to be a mad rush to sign who's left.

Hey John what do. You think of the rumors of Boston and Otttawa after Kane. The same guy who said thee Habs were really going after Kane and would really give up great players also said Ottaea would be really after him as well and give up some really good pieces

That would be amazing to get Bernier and then be able to trade Crawford. I don't think we would get anything at all for Crawford, but LA will want a lot from the Hawks to trade to the competition. I wouldn't go that high for him. The Habs don't have a lot to trade for PK. I don't think they would trade their PK or MaX P.

I'd take back just about every bad thing I've said about Bowman if he can pull of a trade for Bernier and deal away Crawford.

I'll believe SB + Co (and that's how it has to be framed, Stan plus committee) has the stones to be bold when I see it happening. And when it does, if it does, he'll surely get credit.

I assume you're talking abut HockeyyInsiderr?

i think a lot of teams would like to have a player like Kane, "baggage" (real or perceived) and all. I also believe there have been more discussions between the Hawks and other teams on the subject than some are willing to believe.
