Only way I do it is Montador, Frolik, Olesz for Lu, Gragnani, and another UFA to be in 2 days. - ikeane
None of ths is going to hppen , just making the point that the only way Lu gets moved is for bad contracts. |

I agree, just saying, offload long term bad contracts to take Lus long term bad contract. Since Gillis would never do that, I say Greasy Bob will be a headcase elsewhere |

you'll probably hear some nonsense about 'there were some deals out there, but wasn't the right fit for our organ-I-zation' - eburgio
That has a nice spin to it. |

CBA talks Opening Day ended about 15-20 minutes ago, so about two and a half hours.
It sounds like they're getting started... |

Like I said on the eve of the NHL draft STANBO doesn't have the stones to make a major trade, signing free agents and backing up brinks truck is different.
Cmon STANBO do something to prove us doubters wrong please.... without having to ask DADDY if it is ok.

I haven't seen enough of Saad myself to give you an opinion. Same with McNeill. It seems the last couple of games with the Hogs that I caught, McNeill ended up being a scratch for all but one game. I got to see more of Danault that anyone. FredoXV got to see him while the Hogs were out in Ohio. Here's what he had to say:
I saw him play earlier in the year when he was up with Rockford, and he threw his body around quite a bit - in once instance even took a 5-minute boarding major from a catastrophic hit along the benches.
He also handed Danny Richmond his lunch in a nice scrap. I think you'll be pleasantly surpised with McNeill's physicality if and when he makes an appearence in an Indianhead-crested sweater.
Listed at 6'2" 220 and only 19, he's a big boy, and from the small sample size I witnessed, he's already using that frame well. I've got high hopes for this kid - but am not sure where his ceiling is - a top-six power guy or a lower-line banger and grinder. I think he'll definitely play in the NHL at some point, though. - EKolb13
Saw McNeill in his one and only visit to the Rose City. Definitely not afraid to throw his weight around.

No... It's like real life where you may not particularly like some people you work with but sometimes you have to swallow the pill and make it work and be civil anyways.
I actually think that is better for kids as it shows how to deal with a not "perfect" work environment and still be successful. Or give them the inspiration needed to deal with prima donnas and crazy parents that may be plaguing their youth team in a positive way. - fattybeef
Im not in a fantasy land where I expect the hawk organization to be perfect. It's a buisness, and not everyone is going to like one another. But as the cornerstones of a franchise that won a stanley cup where one scored the cup winning goal and the other won the conn smythe it sucks that their really is not the commraderie that is advertised. |

Well they don't have to love or hate each other. It's not a polar opposite thing. I'm sure they get along, but perhaps it's just not what the commercials suggest. And to be frank, I could give a rat's behind if they are mortal enemies, so long as they play well together and win games....so long as Kaner isn't the Dave Martinez to Toews' Ryno. |

Leonsis was smiling broadly, but that could be because in less than 48 hours, he’ll no longer be paying Alex Semin.

Hamilton will close up before Kenesky's does. Right behind the store is an old 2 storey brick house that used to be crammed with hockey sticks - basement to attic. Couldn't even move in there for sticks - CCM, Victoriaville, Hespeler - you name it they had every stick known to man. The Russians would come in and buy thousands at a time for their touring teams. House is still there - I will ask if they still own it next time I go in - RickJ

I was gonna zip on over there and watch the hijinks, but then read the blog proclaiming Pavel Bure as being the best at EVERYTHING EVER.
Now I think I understand why so many 'nucks fans that post on JJ's blog act like clowns on circus furlough...
