Anders Lee as well...Might want to trade him seeing that he probably won't sign with us. - Isles316
Good point...I do think Lee wants to get his degree first and then decide. This could turn out to be another Justin Schultz scenario... |

There just is no hint or reason to believe the Isles trade any prospects to acquire that star player to play with or behind Tavares. - Isles316
I did remember Snow mentioned to the season ticket holders a few weeks ago that he has the prospects now to make a few deals...I read on the Anaheim board that a #1 pick, Nino and Okposo would be a good trade for Ryan...I look at it this way the #1 pick wouldn't be a top 5 pick anymore if we got Ryan... |

Anaheim is looking to save money. Mckenzie said they want 3 pieces that bring back no salary for what that's worth. |

Isles should have the pieces to make a deal and they cannot find room for all these prospects away. |

Then you'd figure the Isles are perfect trading partners... They have plenty of no salary, young players. |

100% agree, just probably feel like ANA will start with Strome,Reinhardt and Nino. Not exactly guys you want to be trading away. Ryan had less points than P.A. remember. Although playing with JT and Moulson, Ryan could have 90 |

If the Isles want him, they can have him. Just a matter of giving up the peices ANA wants. Snow probably offered something for him. If ANA can't get a better offer, they may make that deal with Snow. |

I had this convo the other day with SCLI. The problem the Isles face is free agency. If they make a move for Ryan and give up 2 or 3 prospects, the would good role playing FA to sign as well. They have multiple holes in their lineup that need to be filled, if Snow really thinks he can't get those holes filled unless he trades, he will end up depleting more then he's going to want to. IMO, FA is key to what they do. |

I think Strome, Reinhardt, and Nino is too much. If they insist on a dman I'll give up DeHaan, Strome, and another piece. I would give up Reinhardt for a Weber if Weber would sign long term that is. |

Fri 11:36 am: So now I'm realizing what may have had Nino somewhat disturbed last night. Other players who had played in the NHL got to sit and watch the game, Ness, Poulin, DeHaan, but Nino who played his entire season in the NHL was on the ice. Yep. That'll do it.
He is angry because he had to play hockey??? My guess is the other guys probably wanted to play just as bad. Clueless as usual |

I think PA should give Tavares half of his salary...Getting Ryan, this line would be the best line the Islanders ever had since Trottier, Bossy and Gillies. |

I actually went back and read this blog bcs echiefs pointed out some ridiculous comment she made about Nino playing rough and her not wanting him too. I deeply regret reading it now. You would lose less brain cells taking acid than reading one of her blogs. - Cptmjl

Since you all know I would blow this team up. If we lose out on the Ryan sweepstakes, how about calling San Jose and seeing if Joe Pavelski or Ryan Clowe are available. Pavelski has 2 years remaining at $4 million per on his deal and Clowe has one year remaining at around $3.2 million. |

Maybe one of the kids will teach DP how to get up from a save or to stop overplaying the puck? - ses111
Its funny, but i saw Marty over play the puck atleast once a game these playoffs.. Saw Quick do it quite a bit as well.

Why dosent Moulson give JT half his salary?
And since PAP still put up numbers way from JT... shouldnt it only be 1/3??

I just dont see how you figure at all.
Ryan would replace PAP on a line that wasnt the issue last season...
So we lose KO now in the trade and the second line gets even worse...
So we end up being a 1 line team once again.... WooHoo!! For this honor we give up 3 key pieces of the franchise.
Looks like a top 5 pick for Anahiem

PA is gone regardless of whether the proposed trade happens or not. Really, roster-wise, you're swapping Okposo for Ryan. The second line gets weaker either way...whether Okposo's moved in a trade, or whether he moves to the first line to replace PA there. |
